00:00In India, there is something quite interesting about vegetarianism.

00:04It goes into feeding caste discrimination.

00:08Not that I am particularly concerned about the goat or the chicken.

00:13For legious reasons or some other reason, I can slaughter them.

00:16In indirect ways also, I can cause them harm.

00:19But because I belong to one of the so-called higher varnas, I am pure.

00:25And I am pure at the level of the body.

00:28You are impure, so I am superior to you.

00:30It's not that I am crying, my heart is bleeding for the chicken that got killed.

00:35I am actually calling it impure.

00:37Now that's what happens when you practice sense control without self-knowledge.
