Earlier this month, Co-Founder & CEO of Good American, Founding partner of SKIMS, and "one of America’s richest self-made women" according to Forbes, Emma Grede stepped to the mic for her new podcast, 'Aspire with Emma Grede.' Now she's joining 'The Big Tigger Morning Show' in Atlanta to talk about why the time was right to drop some knowledge with her Audacy podcast.

00:02Thank you. Thank you so much. I'm so happy to launch this podcast.
00:06Tell me what, so it's called Aspire with Emma Greed. Why now? Why a podcast? Why now?
00:12Well, you know what? I mean, it's not like I don't have enough to do. Let's be fair.
00:16You know, I've been building businesses my whole career.
00:19And I think there comes a point when people just ask you a lot of questions.
00:23And I feel like I've accumulated so much knowledge and I have so much to give.
00:27And I know so many great people that the time seemed right to actually just share some of that.
00:32And I think that people want to know how they can start a business, how they can negotiate a pay rise.
00:37Should they still stay in their job? And, you know, I have a lot of good experience and a lot to say.
00:42So why not? So is that what you what people should get from listening to your podcast?
00:47You know, I'm really trying to do something that is about people being able to have tangible takeouts because there's a lot of podcasts out there.
00:54But there's not a lot of business podcasts specifically from a woman's point of view.
00:59And, you know, I started from scratch. I left school when I was 15.
01:02And I've done all of my businesses myself from the beginning.
01:05And I made all of the mistakes.
01:07And I think rather than kind of sugarcoat in and telling people what they want to hear, I'm here to tell the truth.
