00:00Did Blake Lively really try to extort and threaten her bestie Taylor Swift?
00:04That's what Justin Baldoni's lawyer claimed recently.
00:06And if you thought it was crazy,
00:08well then you should know his lawyer just doubled down on his accusations.
00:11So as you all know, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni
00:14are currently in the midst of a contentious legal battle.
00:16And after months of it being rumored that Taylor Swift
00:18was going to be subpoenaed in this legal battle,
00:20it finally happened.
00:22Shortly after Taylor's team released a statement
00:24denying she had anything to do with the film It Ends With Us.
00:26And her lawyers also filed paperwork saying she should not be subpoenaed.
00:29However, then Justin Baldoni's lawyer Brian Friedman
00:32hit us with a major accusation.
00:34He claims that Taylor Swift's law firm should be subpoenaed
00:37because Taylor's law firm allegedly has communications
00:39that show that Blake Lively tried to extort her.
00:42Justin Baldoni's lawyer claims to have gotten this information
00:45from an anonymous source.
00:46Blake Lively's legal team is denying all of this, of course.
00:49However, in a shocking turn of events, as I said,
00:52Justin Baldoni's lawyer has now doubled down
00:54as he filed an official affidavit saying,
00:56no, no, no, what I'm claiming I believe is true.
00:59Justin's lawyer claims that he had an hour-long conversation
01:01with somebody very close to Taylor Swift on Valentine's Day.
01:04This person claims that Blake Lively's lawyer
01:06called Taylor Swift's lawyer
01:07and said that Taylor Swift needs to release a statement
01:10addressing Blake Lively's absence from the Super Bowl.
01:12And if Taylor reportedly failed to do so,
01:14Blake would release, quote,
01:1510 years of private text messages with Taylor.
01:19Now, it's worth noting that Blake Lively's legal team
01:21is still denying this,
01:23even after the most recent filing.
