00:00I want to talk about Zootopia 2. We're finally getting a sequel.
00:04Oh my gosh, we'll get a decade later.
00:05I know. What is it like to finally come back to this first sequel?
00:08I mean, I may have known it was coming for many years,
00:12so I've been chomping at the bit to get back in the sound booth,
00:16and now I'm devastated that that time is coming to an end.
00:19I just hope there will be more and more and more.
00:22What would you say is your favorite part of voice acting,
00:25and what do you think is kind of like the differences between that and then being live action?
00:29Oh my gosh, they're so different. I mean, I could do animation forever.
00:34Yeah, I feel like you've got a lot less that you can use to get, you know, your own,
00:42my, or I should say my own contribution to the story across.
00:45I have a lot less that I can use, and I find that challenge really exciting.
00:50Like, what all can I put into my voice to sell this,
00:53but also keeping in mind that, like, not only do we have incredible writing and directing,
00:58but, like, these animators are going to give her a life I can't even imagine.
01:02Yeah.
01:02Are there any challenges that you would say come with that?
01:06I mean, I would say I get, even though the days are a lot shorter,
01:10I'm super physically tired after one of my recording days
01:13because I realize, like, everything is much bigger,
01:16and I leave and I'm all sweaty,
01:18and physically I've been jumping around a sound booth all day.
01:20A lot more energy, I'm sure.
01:22Yeah, absolutely.
01:23I wanted to ask, I know that there's a lot of reboots happening these days.
01:28What are your thoughts on a possible Once Upon a Time reboot?
01:32Is that something that you'd be interested in?
01:34Absolutely.
01:35I mean, Once Upon a Time, my whole real life is, like, is because of Once Upon a Time,
01:40and that I, you know, it was one of the jobs of my life,
01:44and I met my husband and have my children because of that show,
01:46and Snow White's very close to my heart.
01:48I think I'm here because of that show,
01:51but I would kill to go back to revisit that, absolutely.
01:55Yeah, I'm sure.
01:56And I know, finally, Upfronts are all about the future.
01:59What do you think audiences are really looking for in terms of storytelling these days?
02:03Oh, my gosh.
02:04What are audiences?
02:05Well, I think the fact that the reboots are so popular
02:08and the fact that we're doing all of these live-action remakes of things
02:13shows that, like, nostalgia is a big part of, you know,
02:17what I think also our generation is looking for
02:20and sharing with our children and reliving these things,
02:22and, yeah, I'm going to go with nostalgia.
02:25Yeah.
