Warren Buffett gave the Gates Foundation $43 billion. "I learned so much from Warren," Bill Gates says

Bill Gates said at the Gates Foundation 25th anniversary event that Warren Buffett was a big influence on him.

00:13Warren influenced me before I met him in 1991. He wrote an article about giving all your money

00:20away and how leaving large sums to kids sometimes wasn't even a favor to them and so people should

00:28think in a generous way like he was. You know I learned so much from Warren both his advice to me

00:39and his example. Of course in 2006 he decided that some of his wealth would be given away

00:47through the Gates Foundation and probably the most generous gift ever given by somebody to

00:53someone else's foundation. We received over 43 billion dollars in stock from Warren and

01:02he continues to be very generous.
