00:00The Commission on Elections, Sir Komlek, confirmed that elections will proceed in Bangued, Abra,

00:05despite a fire that destroyed classrooms at the local elementary school.

00:09The school, the only polling place for Barangay Dangdang Lao, will use makeshift polling stations.

00:15Komlek Chairman George Irwin Garcia assured that the fire would not disrupt the May 12 elections.

00:21The commission is also addressing campaign violations with nearly 30 candidates facing disqualification

00:26and is investigating incidences of vote buying and misuse of state resources.
