00:00One of the best ways to avoid job scams in general is one, if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

00:07On LinkedIn, you can also look to make sure that the person who's reaching out to you is actually verified.

00:13You'll see a little shield on their profile that'll let you know that it's a real person working at a real company.

00:18The other thing is that recruiters are not going to ask you personally identifiable information on outreach.

00:26They're not going to ask you to purchase some software or purchase some equipment or be reimbursed for something later.

00:33So I think that talking to your network also is a great way to avoid these things.

00:38If something sounds too good to be true, hit up one of your friends and sort of like do a gut check on it.
