These surprising industries are on a hiring spree

LinkedIn's top career expert reveals the industries where hiring is still strong.

00:00The state of the job market is incredibly competitive right now.

00:02Hiring is down year over year.

00:05We are also seeing about 50% of Americans right now are in the job market

00:09or say that they're going to be looking for a job in 2025.

00:12That number goes up to 62% for Latinos and about 64% for African Americans.

00:18The market is incredibly competitive.

00:21We're looking at the jobs numbers but we're also taking in consideration

00:25the more than like 250,000 federal workers

00:29who are now entering into the job market.

00:31And we're all wondering,

00:32is the private sector going to be able to absorb all of that talent?

00:37I think across the board, we're going to see strong hiring

00:40in your sort of economy agnostic industries.

00:45If you look at education, if you look at health care,

00:48even looking at things like law enforcement,

00:50these are industries that are going to be almost recession proof or economy proof.

00:56But I also think it's really important to start to look at

00:59sectors like technology, looking at other sectors like media.

01:04Some of those roles inside of those companies are still going to be really viable.

01:10Companies are going to need people doing HR.

01:12They're going to need people doing communications.

01:13They're going to need some of those vital skill sets regardless of the industry.
