Transcript
00:00In terms of AI do's and don'ts for the job search process, what you don't want to do is use AI to
00:06write your entire resume for you. I'm a former recruiter and hiring manager, and I will tell
00:11you right now, we can immediately tell when an entire resume has been AI driven. The language
00:16is sort of uncanny. It's very robotic. So you want to make sure that you're using AI in a smart way.
00:22For example, you can use it to distill down job descriptions, copy paste the job description in
00:27and ask AI, hey, what are the top skills mentioned in this job description? Tell me the top five
00:32skills that were mentioned in these job descriptions that I'm applying for. That's a great way to keyword
00:38match effectively. You can also have it review your cover letter and your resume for typos and
00:44grammar. That is so important because right now you need to have a resume that's 100% error free.
00:49So you want to use it for in those cases, but you don't want to use it to write your entire resume
00:53because that will eliminate your personality, your storytelling, and it will take all the you out
00:58of it. And we want to see the human aspects of your resume when we're reviewing.
