Reporter Asks Trump About Cutting $1 Billion Mental Health Resources In Schools

In the Oval Office, President Trump was asked about cuts to mental health resources in schools.

00:03On your proclamation designating this Mental Health Awareness Month,

00:06can you speak to concerns people are having regarding your administration

00:09cutting a billion dollars in mental health programs from school?

00:12Well, we're looking very closely at waste, fraud, and abuse,

00:15of which there's a tremendous amount of people on that should be on,

00:21illegal immigrants on, people that came into the country illegally.

00:26We have many of them, and we're looking for that.

00:28But for the population that's supposed to be there, it's perfecto.

00:34And they want us to do that.

00:35They don't want to have the waste, the fraud.

00:38And the fraud is big, by the way, or the abuse.
