02:21and Tajiri, for a good period of time, was my favorite wrestler in the world.

02:25And I never thought that I would call it a Tajiri match, but here we are, in Tonsaki.

02:31And it's an absolute pleasure to do so, whether you've seen Tajiri before,

02:35and your tape trading, or like me, and your streaming services,

02:38it is Tajiri and Ryota Shikose, here tonight.

02:43For the first time in over 14 years, Tajiri, in a New Japan Pro Wrestling ring.

02:51And it's been a wee bit longer for Ryota Shikose back October 2004,

03:13For as much as we haven't seen Tajiri in a New Japan ring for a long, long time,

03:33the last time he did, a lot of connections to tonight and to this match.

03:40It was a six-man tag, Tajiri, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Hiroki Goto,

03:48against Toriyano, Tomohiro Ishii, and Shinsuke Nakamura.

03:59from the G1 years ago, between Yano and Tajiri.

05:30and some of the classics that have taken place in that.

05:32Yeah, it's going to be an incredible time coming up

05:35in that month of Tanahashi Jam

05:38as we celebrate the life, the career, and the legacy

05:41that will be left behind on Tanahashi's terms

05:43coming up January 4th, 2026.

05:50Well, the English audience and viewing world at large

05:52are well and familiar with the legacy

05:56But now in modern day Kyushu Pro representative Tajiri.

06:31and successful independent down here in the Kyushu area.

06:42Super Delphin and all those guys.

06:44And there's a through line from there

06:46into what is now Kyushu Pro a little bit further south.
