00:00Dulu kita bersama dengan DAP dalam Pakatan Rakyat.

00:06Memang kita mendapat sokongan dari segi undi, kita boleh menang kawasan parlimen yang banyak.

00:13Tapi bila kita keluar daripada DAP, kita keluar daripada Pakatan Rakyat,

00:17kita bersama Perikatan Nasional, kita punya bilangan kurusi lebih banyak lagi.

00:26PAS Secretary-General Takiyudin Hassan has brushed off claims his party is envious of UMNO's cooperation with DAP,

00:34insisting that PAS is faring better now under Perikatan Nasional.

00:39PAS currently holds 43 seats in the Dewan Rakyat,

00:42making it the largest party in parliament ahead of DAP, PKR, and PN ally Bersatu.

00:48In 2015, PAS exited Pakatan Rakyat, citing irreconcilable differences with DAP.

00:53Takiyudin was responding to UMNO Vice President Khalid Nordin,

00:57who claimed PAS had not moved on from its fallout with DAP

01:00and was scapegoating its former ally and UMNO for its recent loss in the Ayur Kuning by-election.

01:07Khalid's comments came after PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang said UMNO's victory in Ayur Kuning

01:12stemmed from the UMNO-DAP alliance, which he claimed sought to purify DAP,

01:17a party which had allegedly openly taken anti-Islam stances.

01:20Takiyudin also said it was unfair to judge PAS based solely on the Ayur Kuning result,

01:26noting that the constituency was historically an UMNO stronghold.
