Departure confirmed for Blackpool defender

Blackpool boss Steve Bruce has confirmed defender Jordan Gabriel will depart the club at the end of his contract.

00:05Of course, yeah, never easy. Some awful conversations.

00:10Some awful conversations, but I always thought it was better to do it that way than it could

00:17have had an adversarial effect, but there were such good pros that it didn't let them affect them.

00:22So, yeah, sometimes have been difficult conversations.

00:26Yeah, didn't you feel important for someone to chuck them on today and just give them that?

00:29I didn't chuck them on. Andy was the big one, but yeah, it was important that they played a few minutes

00:36and said the last, you know, as I said, Jordan Gabriel could have finished with a hat-trick, couldn't he?

00:41How ironic that would have been, but there you go.

00:44Yeah, you did mention Jordan Gabriel's probably played his last game now.

00:47He started really well for you and dropped out the team since he's gone.

00:50Yeah, he started really well for me and I think he came out of the team

00:54because his wife gave birth, I think. I think that was the reason why he came out.

01:00And then Adele's took his position there and results went well.

01:03And all of a sudden it's three, four months before he's played.

01:06So that's football. That's the way it is. It can give you a kick in now and again.

01:11And of course, it's my job to pick a team that can win every week.

01:15And the form of Adele, in particular, simply got better throughout the season when it went on.

01:20Yeah, Jordan, he's a very long servant. Five years, I think it is, at the club.

01:24Was he one of those who told you exactly what he was about when you arrived?

01:27Yeah, yeah. As soon as I've seen him, I enjoyed what I've seen. He gives you everything he's got.

01:34He's athletic and quick and he's never let the club down in five years, that's for sure.

01:40So, yeah, difficult conversations, but that's the way it is.

01:45And there's been a few with other more and I'm going to let the club do that.

01:48I just thought for Jordan in particular, it was a good way to sign off.
