Kanpur Dehat: Anti-Corruption Team’s Action Against Female Accountant Sparks Controversy

On a complaint by former village head Jaiprakash of Mubarakpur, the team arrested female accountant Vinita Yadav, allegedly while accepting a bribe of ₹4,000.

However, video footage surfaced showing Vinita washing her hands with water post-arrest to reveal the bribe-trap chemical — but the water remained clear, and no color appeared on her hands. This led tehsil staff to question the credibility of the action, calling it a conspiracy and claiming the evidence was unconvincing.
