00:10an executive order to increase american mineral production ronald tyson ceo and director of

00:16northern dynasty minerals and its 100-percent-owned u.s-based subsidiary pebble limited partnerships

00:21joins us today to provide commentary on the executive order well welcome ronald this is a hot

00:26topic it is it is i get lots of calls every time there's an executive order that's issued somebody

00:34phone said did you have your permit now yeah i have to say uh unfortunately even with executive

00:39orders you're still going to comply with all the rules laws regulations absolutely so my first

00:46question then would be just a general overview of your stock gains i mean northern dynasty has seen

00:52a notable uptick in its stock price recently so to what extent do you actually attribute this

00:59momentum to market fundamentals versus that speculative interest and really how are you

01:04planning to sustain investor confidence moving forward well i would say you know first of all

01:10uh we're extremely undervalued we're the largest undeveloped mineral project in the world polymetallic

01:16gold copper silver rhenium molybdenum um and and the i would say the key to the the increase obviously

01:26it was the trump election and the executive orders especially the ones on inauguration day that were

01:31triggered by a request from the governor of alaska but more than that pebble has been through the

01:38complete permitting process so we went through uh three and a half years of permitting and it took

01:4610 years to get ready for permitting so we've been through all of it we didn't get the permit at the

01:5111th hour we appealed the denial and we effectively won the appeal the the denial has been repudiated

02:00and i think people realize that and so they see under the trough administration and these executive

02:06orders that we've got a really good chance of getting this permit and the timeline to the permit

02:11is effectively very short you know probably something like a year or so right so if we

02:18actually unpack that executive order just a little bit further i mean we have seen several pro mining

02:24and pro alaska executive orders since the beginning of the administration how could this one benefit

02:30northern dynasty and the pebble project well this there was one in particular that talked about

02:36federal land and we're on state land so many people said oh well you know you're not you're not on

02:42federal land that executive order didn't really apply to you except for the fact that there was one

02:47section of that executive order that wasn't qualified with a federal land um pretext it but it stated

02:57that the that the that the executives the head of the epa would uh would uh remove any impediments

03:05to permitting and then would expedite permitting the army corps of engineers and issue permits we are in a

03:14situation where we have a veto and we can't our appeal win can't be done until the veto is removed and that

03:22executive order basically says quite specifically remove any impediments to permitting well that was

03:30the veto so we believe and the epa reached out to us it's public uh notification that they wanted to put

03:40our litigation in abeyance so they could brief the new administration uh the new administrator and his

03:49staff on the issues around the veto and then have a conversation about them so i think that that seeing

03:55that in the public domain investors are really taking a new look at pebble saying you know if this go

04:02around pebble can get his permits it's one of the largest and most metal prolific projects certainly in the

04:10americas well we are definitely in some very interesting times and hopefully the movements being made will be a
