Bristolians Discuss wind farms: Do locals support them?

The government is planning more wind farms. Today we ask locals:  Would you support having more wind farms in your local area if it meant lower local energy bills for you?

00:00I certainly would. I'm a strong advocate for green energy in different forms, and I think

00:09we need to have a good range of energy sources available. Wind energy is clearly one of the

00:18cleanest available. Yes, there is impact on sight lines, but careful location of those

00:26wind farms is certainly to be applauded. I think we need to do more offshore as well.

00:33There are developers who want to put wind farms up where there's very little resistance

00:39because there's very few people living there, and I think that's just wrong.

00:44Absolutely, and for other reasons besides that, I think I seem to remember the Prime

00:48Minister mentioning it is that energy security is also national security. So the more energy

00:52we produce for ourselves, the better. And the statistics around fossil fuel related power

00:58are terrifying.
