00:00You had filed a petition on the Pahlgaam attack. What happened on this issue?
00:05Basically, so far as our prayers were concerned, the PIL was drafted on the 26th of this month
00:14and there were many developments after 26th onwards.
00:18So many of our prayers, the clause which we have mentioned in prayer had become inflectious already
00:25and we admitted this to such an extent before the Honorable Court inside just a while before.
00:32So we are on the same side, bench and bar both are on the same side on this matter.
00:40We unequivocally support the government and their stance so far as our national security is concerned.
00:47The only extra prayer which arose after the 26th onwards was the question of safety and security
00:58and liberty of the students of Jammu and Kashmir who are studying outside the UT of JNK.
01:05So unfortunately this was not expressly mentioned in our prayer but though we had kept it as one of the ground
01:12and we thank the Honorable Supreme Court for appreciating this to such an extent
01:17and we are given liberty to approach before the concerned High Court with this plea.
01:23Sir, will you be approaching the High Court?
01:25Yes, definitely. So far as the interests of students of Jammu and Kashmir are concerned,
01:29they have a right to perceive their education.
01:33Because many a times what happens if we try to alienate these students,
01:38it has the tendency to create disharmony in the society which is against national interests.
01:44Yes, it is.
