Brooke Bellamy is a social media sensation.
00:05
Last year, the Brookie Bakehouse owner launched her popular cookbook,
00:09
but a firestorm of controversy has broken out in the kitchen.
00:13
After best-selling cook Nagi Maharshi, founder of recipe Tin Eats,
00:18
accused Miss Bellamy of copying her caramel slice and baklava recipes.
00:24
Writing on social media,
00:26
profiting from plagiarised recipes is unethical
00:30
and it's a slap in the face to every author who puts in the hard work.
00:34
Plagiarism is more of an ethical or a moral claim
00:38
that sort of says, hey, you used something of mine
00:41
or copied something of mine and you didn't acknowledge me.
00:44
Brooke Bellamy has rejected the allegations,
00:47
saying she has been creating her recipes since 2016.
00:52
She's also offered to remove the two recipes from future reprints of her cookbook.
00:58
The kitchen clash has sparked debate.
01:01
So I really make the recipe up from scratch and make it my own.
01:05
I think that's important because there's so many recipes
01:08
that have been featured over and over again out there.
01:11
For me, it's important to do something different.
01:13
The idea of plagiarising a particular recipe just seems a bit ludicrous to me.
01:17
I'm on both sides.
01:18
Rachel Stewart, ABC News, Brisbane.
01:22
I'm very old, as opposed to未来.
01:25
It's interesting to see a lot about why I'm not trying to think about
01:27
people's problem.
01:28
I think that almost there's a place to do.
01:30
But I think that a lot of people have been working on top of at least
01:32
at the top of the top of the top of the top of the top of the top.
01:34
I think that's the way I read this.
01:35
I think that maybe that's the thing.
01:36
I'm really desperate.
01:38
I think it's incredibly helpful.
01:40
So I think that it's important to do something different.
01:43
I think that I'm ready to do something different.
