00:00Well we're here today to celebrate the graduation ceremony for our three apprentices that have
00:09worked very hard to get to this position where they can now show their skills off to their loved
00:14ones. The High Flyers programme was a learning curve. The training was very intense and it was
00:21challenging at times but it was such an incredible experience. I got to do things I never thought I
00:26would get to do and I couldn't have done it without the support and help from the other firefighters
00:30and the officers. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone who's thinking about it. Don't doubt
00:37yourself. If you've got the desire, you've got the ability to do it. It's been amazing.
00:44Really good, yeah. Challenging at times but like always enjoyable. My crew's great,
00:50the camaraderie between us is great. Good crack, good fun, but also like good experience, good teachers,
00:58getting to grow and develop. I've tried three times getting here so it's a dream come true really,
01:03so happy tonight. My dad and my brother were in fire service so that's kind of why I joined,
01:10you know, kind of wanted to be like them. It's been a really great experience,
01:14you know, very rewarding. It's been a lot of hard work as well. We've learned a lot of new skills,
01:19especially over the start of a very short period of time, but they're just skills that will stick
01:23by us for the rest of our lives really. The High Flyers apprenticeship, you know,
01:26if you think you're interested in the fire service, I would really recommend it.
