00:00What issues are important to you so far?
00:03Well, it's important to look out for your old people, better medical things.
00:11Yep.
00:11Should go to Europe and see what I do here.
00:15And there's only two of us at home now that, like, I have two children with children.
00:21And watching that, I know how much our costing our weekly shoppers cost,
00:25how much that's increased, let alone for people with families and school fees and all of that.
00:31Just trying to get two adults that are both working to make it work is impossible.
00:35Alone having families where perhaps, you know, you've got four mouths to be and school bees and ever gives.
00:42Not being so rigid with the gun laws and our guns.
00:47Like, as farmers out here, like, a lot of farmers need their guns.
00:50And a lot of the other people that are around doing hunting, like, hunting and target shooting and all that.
00:57We need the guns.
00:58Mental health is a massive issue that I think needs to be addressed a lot here, a lot more.
01:05Support for regional areas as well.
01:08Violence at school.
01:09Obviously, I'm a teacher and I experience that and see it firsthand.
01:15And I think it is a massive issue that needs to be addressed, so the education.
01:20Healthcare, I heard, I just heard from my GP today that they might be scrapping,
01:25or one of the parties might be trying to scrap the chronic health and chronic pain management healthcare.
01:32Yeah, and I think that's, yeah, that's going to be a big issue for a lot of people to access services.
01:41The live sheep export ban, is that in any way swaying who you might vote for?
01:46And, you know, is it an issue that you're enlivened to or have an opinion on?
01:50Yeah, I'm enlivened to it.
01:52In that opinion, I've worked with legislation involving live sheep export.
01:56I've seen some of the sheep that are on the ships, which are not very good.
02:01However, I think the only way we can do it is to do it cold, refrigerated.
02:07We understand that people overseas don't like that from different countries.
02:10They want them live.
02:11But I think we've got to change our way of shipping those sheep out.
02:15Very not good.
02:16A lot of our farmers around here rely on the sheep export,
02:19and a lot of them are losing money because of this.
02:22Yeah.
02:22And, like, I'm sitting there watching a lot of it, and everyone's catering, gee.
02:27The people down in the city and in the suburbs,
02:29which don't have a clue about farms and don't have a clue about, you know,
02:33what actually, how, what it takes to get this stuff on your plate.
02:36I think a lot of exports should keep going because it keeps a lot of people employed.
02:42And if they stop the export, what's going to happen to all our farmers?
02:48Even though I never lived on a farm, I know that people to live in that area.
02:51That's a huge thing for them.
02:53I know that they will have to their animals.
02:54I know that they wouldn't ship them if they weren't being looked after incredibly well.
02:58People don't realise how much attention goes into those animals
03:01to make them healthy enough to sell on the market.
03:05And so that's it.
03:06That's a worrying bee for me.
03:07So that's a big point, that tip as well.
