00:00Well, it's very much the calm after the storm here at Anfield.

00:12because Liverpool are Premier League champions.

00:16They've won the English Championship for a record 20th time

00:19after a 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur earlier this afternoon.

00:26And the scenes at Anfield have been euphoric.

00:28It's the first time they've been celebrating the title in 35 years.

00:32They were denied that opportunity five years because of the COVID-19 pandemic

00:36and did they make up for lost time.

00:39They welcomed the bus in.

00:41There was thousands upon thousands who welcomed the bus in.

00:45Anfield was packed hours before kick-off.

00:48The pubs were packed.

00:49The vicinity was absolutely chock-a-block.

00:53The ground was busy.

00:54The coach welcomed.

00:56I don't know how many people attended that.

00:58It gave Arnaz Lott and his squad a hero's reception.

01:04Liverpool a 5-1 win over Tottenham.

01:06It did start off straight forward because Tottenham took the lead in the 12th minute

01:10through former red striker Dominic Zalanki.

01:13Head from a corner.

01:14But Liverpool quickly gained the composure.

01:16And they were 3-1 up at half-time.

01:18Goals from Lewis Diaz, Alexis Bacallister and Cody Gakpo.

01:21And then after the break it was a matter of how many more are Liverpool going to get.

01:25Well, they've got two more.

01:26Mo Salah extending the lead.

01:29And then Destiny Udoji for Tottenham scoring an own goal.

01:32And as soon as Liverpool won 2-1, you felt like they were going to go and they weren't going to go and lose the game or draw the game.

01:40They only needed a point goal until they were an excellent Liverpool.

01:43Tottenham made changes because they're proud of the team.

01:46It's the Europa League.

01:47It's a solid day here at Anfield and a fantastic achievement from Arna Slott.

01:54And he loses to it at his post-match press conference.

01:59And he knew there was a little bit of doubt around him when he was selected to sub-remering the clock.

04:03They won't want to relinquish this place that they're at.
