J&K: Famous hill resorts in Udhampur, Ramban deserted after Pahalgam terror attack

Udhampur (J&K), April 27, 2025 (ANI): Tourism has taken a severe hit in popular hill stations in J&K’s Udhampur and Ramban after Pahalgam terror attack. These popular hill stations like Patnitop, Nathatop and Sanasar have been seen deserted nowadays.  All the people dependent on the tourism industry here are seen sitting idle and have complained of suffering losses. According to sources, NIA has taken over April 22 Pahalgam terror attack case in which 26 tourists were gunned down by terrorists. “Patnitop has become completely deserted. What happened in Pahalgam cannot be condemned enough... Thank God, such a thing has not happened in Patnitop to date... We request that the forces and police continue patrolling here... Earlier in April, we used to have 80% occupancy in all Patnitop hotels. But now there is no one here. The entire Patnitop is lying vacant... I appeal to all tourists that there is no need to be afraid. Our Patnitop is completely safe. Come here and enjoy... The civil administration and the police have assured us that they will keep Patnitop as safe as possible,” said Rajesh Thakur.
