00:01A sentimental morning and a time for reflection.
00:12Today, as we gather in the quiet of the early morning and the first rays of dawn,
00:22we pause to remember and honour
00:25Thousands of people coming together to share their personal stories.
00:30I come from a family that has a proud service history
00:35and I am proud to carry on the legacy of my grandfather to this day.
00:42Wreaths were laid and poems were read in a tradition over a century old,
00:47now being carried on by the next generations.
00:51Celebrating the country and all the people who fought in the war.
00:54There's just so many children here this year that it just means that when,
01:00unfortunately, when the older generation disappears,
01:03they can still come up and know what's right.
01:06Foreign-born Territorians too, paying their respects.
01:10This means a lot to us as a Ukrainian association
01:13because we're going through war with Russia,
01:17so we understand the importance of celebrating days like this.
01:21Once the sun rose, celebrations began with a parade through Darwin CBD.
01:27It was really fun. We got to see those.
01:30And it was very interesting.
01:34And the drums where the kids were marching with them as well.
01:38Soldiers and Navy personnel marching proud and a taste of history
01:42with the whaler horse, vintage vehicles and the veterans.
01:48And then to the other Anzac traditions.
01:52It's absolutely amazing.
01:54It's always so beautiful coming down here and celebrating and recognising our vets
01:58and get to play some tour.
02:00The streets are emptied and the pubs are filled
02:03with people partaking in their own traditions,
02:06truly embracing the free life that our Anzac fought so hard for.
02:10You know, I'm sure they're all here looking over us having a great time
02:15and having a couple beers with our mates.
02:17Everyone supports us and yeah, I'm just happy that this was a good turnout.
02:22A celebration of what it means to be Australian.
02:25What happened here?
02:26Oh-hmm.
02:28A spectacle of the people's going on.
02:29What happened here?
02:30They were almost like this.
02:31And they were not being decreed.
02:32The people who are not being in the spot.
02:33They were able to see it.
02:34So, if you're the fans within that moment,
02:36that's the right thing if you can do.
02:37So, thank you for the people of the people that were doing a great time.
02:38Okay?
02:39And then, that's a good question.
02:40So, yes, it's a good question.
02:41What do you think?
02:42I think that's the thing?
02:43What the time is so hard to do?
02:44You'll have a great time playing around here?
02:45We'll have a great job.
02:46That's a good one.
02:48I guess, yes, a good question.
02:49If someone did be giving you an opportunity
