Fourteen high school students in Tokyo were hospitalized after eating spicy chips, reports Reuters.

The incident occurred when 30 students tried the snack brought to school by a male student,

who said his older brother purchased it.

Those affected reported mouth and stomach pain, but were conscious and treated for minor symptoms.

The snack, called R18 Curry Chips, comes with warnings against consumption by those under 18,

those with high blood pressure, and those with weak stomachs.

It also advises against consuming the entire bag alone due to potential risks of diarrhea.
