00:00right now though it is our second date update trying to help out pete pete is a very straightforward

00:04guy he just gave us kind of the bullet points of what happened on their date but it all sounded

00:08good he sounded like a nice guy um we want to see if we can get him set back up with this girl

00:13rachel so let's go ahead and try to call her right now and get her on the phone

00:44qik how you doing i'm okay all right i know it's a random phone call uh do you think we could talk

00:52to you for a couple minutes on the air actually about a date you went on i know that sounds really

00:57strange but it would just be a couple minutes okay all right well thank you for being down for

01:03that i know it's you're kind of a little unsure uh right now uh we want to talk to you about this guy

01:09pete uh he told us that you guys met online went out to dinner uh had a great time he said that you

01:15were just kind of the complete package and he was very straightforward with us and just said that he

01:20he liked you and wants to see you again but he can't get a hold of you since that date so what's

01:24going on why are you not getting back to him um i okay i he was really nice he was a total

01:34gentleman he paid we had a really nice time together like but i think just overall just like

01:41not for me um yeah just not my type okay so he's a really nice guy you had a really great time but he's

01:49not your type why is that i i saw i don't know how to say this i saw him like in an interaction

01:56with people that kind of was very revealing or informative for me like with a waiter or what

02:03no no no he was lovely to the waiter he was really nice and um it was actually my my i ran into

02:10a couple of my girlfriends from college and so they were walking out when and they saw us and so

02:17they came over to the table and i was like oh my gosh and it was like great to see them and

02:23i introduced him to them and like after a couple minutes of us talking i realized like he hadn't

02:29said anything he hadn't like even nodded or it's like he wasn't even making eye contact he like

02:36totally shut down and i kept trying to like include him in different ways in the conversation if you know

02:42what i mean like just bring him in and and even my friends were i noticing like trying to do that

02:48and they were there for like 10 minutes and i don't know it was just really it was just like

02:53awkward i don't know how else to describe it well i mean he's kind of in a weird situation he's just

02:57meeting you for the first time and then all of a sudden two of your friends show up i mean you can

03:01kind of understand why he might be a little shy or not know what to say right totally no no it was like

03:07more than just shy it was almost rude like he just didn't show any interest like i don't know

03:13if if his friends were there i would be like oh like how do you guys know each other or oh that sounds

03:19and what you know i would just be engaged in the conversation on some level all right so what did

03:24you want him to do in that like perfect scenario what would you want him to do just uh you know make

03:29eye contact laugh at their you know mediocre joke or sort of just oh like ask a question here or there

03:37or um engage yeah just like be normal it just makes me think about like yeah like i have a lot of

03:44friends i'm very social i have a really big family you know like i'm talking to people a lot like i would

03:50want to you know like be with someone who would you know be social as well well i want to tell you this

03:57we actually have uh pete on the phone with us and he's the one that gave us your number so we

04:03want to bring him back on if that's cool with you i mean at this point why not all right well pete you

04:11there um hey rachel um i'm sorry that you thought i was rude i wasn't trying to be i was just didn't

04:18want to interrupt while you were enjoying time with your friends i i don't want to be rude you were

04:23really really nice but i just it was very um i don't know just not not what i'm looking for i

04:30guess well maybe he's an introvert and not like a huge extrovert i mean but i'll tell you what he's

04:34calling us and he's on the air with us right now i mean that's kind of a big stand and someone who's

04:39outgoing is doing that i don't know i i just i'm looking for someone more outgoing and and if that

04:46makes me bad i guess i'm i'm bad i'm sorry yeah i wasn't trying to be awkward i was just

04:52waiting for my spot to talk and i didn't want to be the guy that just interrupted for the sake of

04:58i guess making it about himself i mean i think there's like more of a balance between interrupting

05:03and like just participating okay let me ask you a question i uh you said a lot of nice things about

05:10pete you said some kind of uh not not mean but some different things about pete where you said he

05:16wasn't really your type but he called us he really wants to see you again i mean would you be willing

05:21to see him again and maybe he now knows hey i'll be more assertive with my conversations i mean would

05:26you be willing to go out with him again i just at this point uh no and not because of you know

05:36anything bad about pete's personality i bet there's a great girl out there for him but it's just

05:40not me all right well rachel i do appreciate you taking the time to talk to us this morning i hope
