00:40been several yeah but this guy takes the cake this is one of the wildest news stories I've ever seen

00:47not only is he a quadriplegic man in a wheelchair that attacks the police

00:55by driving into them sure oh yeah he's also a little rapper sure yeah well okay a lot going on here okay

01:16here from WPLG TV take a listen say it's battery that quadriplegic man says that's not the case

01:24and now we see the video oh my goodness for the first time we are seeing body camera video when

01:35Miami-Dade police say they were assaulted by a quadriplegic man a case so unusual even the judge

01:41at first appearance seems surprised I have truly never seen a case like this it happened May 1st police

01:48were called to the southwest Miami-Dade home of Brian Amasta also known as El Valenti his stage name when

01:57he's performing music according to the report Amasta and his mother seen here in red were involved in an

02:03argument but when mom is put in handcuffs this happens when we interviewed Amasta back then he

02:16told us this they claimed that I I hit them with my wheelchair did you I absolutely did not the report

02:23stated that you spit at an officer right so I have I suffered from acid reflux so I normally spit yeah

02:29um and I spat like the totally different direction but this is the video you want to listen or not

02:35I get it too I hope I don't I don't hope I don't have a flare-up in here on you reflux

02:49humiliated during his arrest because he was separated from his motorized wheelchair which

02:56he says was damaged when it was put on a flat bed you see one officer appearing to text someone

03:01joking that they were going to put him on the tow truck yeah because officers later seen inspecting

03:08their legs Amasta charged with two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer

03:12and we are told that corrections did not have a transport van to transport Amasta with his

03:20wheelchair and that's why officers on scene called fire rescue to take him and called a tow truck to

03:25take the chair we're told that there's another hearing in this case scheduled right here for tomorrow

03:30that one's a tough one it is he got tough he got him right in the shins he did for sure

03:36I mean I don't he's angry he is I would be too I'd be pretty upset I mean I'd be happy I can

03:43he's almost like a paraplegic pit bull yep yep let's see if he's got something oh there we are oh wow

07:01handcuffs just be funny and in all the equipment the police have to have for every situation if they

07:06just had like a set of stairs just in case yeah they're in that exact situation just go up this

07:18like he still has to be able to i don't know it might not be he might be able he he has he's when

07:23they said quadriplegic yeah he's got some stuff going on but he definitely can move his arms a little

07:30bit they make cars that you can drive with your arms right yeah and you can at least like do a

07:43maybe you can drive then you have to drive with your realtor yeah unless his mom that's tough though
