00:00okay so now to uh the best interview of the week for sure it is a woman who believes that she was

00:14able to dodge bullets of a drive-by shooting by doing her little kim dance moves which is amazing

00:43you up to speed what happened and then i got the whole raw interview of this woman talking to wtvy tv

00:50in alabama about this apartment complex that has had two shootings in just a month here's the story

00:58first evening kinsley after speaking with a couple of neighbors from this area they seem to not be

01:04very happy with what's been going on spoke with a couple of them that said that they are looking to

01:09get out of this apartment complex as soon as possible spoke with another woman who also said

01:14that she happened to be outside when the bullets started to ring you heard that breath go in

01:18last night so i'm getting to the car i have five five five five five at least by seven rounds

01:26that's what shariah taylor says she heard on thursday while waiting for a ride so i'm ducking i'm

01:32dodging i'm dodging i'm dodging i'm ducking i'm ducking doing little kim trying to get my baby in the car

01:37and i throw my baby in the back seat and we just sped off and this isn't the first occasion this

01:43month back on april 4th a woman was shot while sleeping in her bed with her children at the same

01:49complex lieutenant scott owens with the dothan police department said that this has raised red flags for

01:55the department two separate shootings this close together gives us cause for concern and we we still

02:01want the community to come out and be a partner with us and help us uh stop these uh these senseless

02:08acts of violence with shootings this close together folks who live in the apartment complex are uneasy

02:12sometimes i don't feel safe i don't feel safe i'll be kind of paranoid out here sometimes i'll be scared

02:19but dothan police says that they will do what they can to manage the violent crimes our patrol officers

02:24are going to more heavily saturate that area uh in the coming weeks to make sure that we are as

02:30proactive as we can be taylor is hoping something changes for her family and her neighbors but for

02:35now her message to them is simple if you stay in westgate village stay in your house that's all i gotta

02:41say so there's a lengthier version of the interview that she did and just to clarify she has her moves

03:10heard last night just kind of take me through um whenever you noticed something was going on and

03:15and what you witnessed as well okay so boom i'm outside i was waiting on my mama and i'm just

03:22walking you know minding my business and somebody called me they're like hey you see them fighting

03:28over there so i lean to the side i'm leaning trying to see because i stay ducked out so then i see some

03:35people throwing hands i'm like what's going on but i couldn't tell who it was so i minded my business

03:41and that's your best bet to do in situations like this is mind your business

03:45and so um obviously ended up resulting in somebody getting shot you know okay did you uh did you hear

03:57the gunfire if so take me through that moment so i'm walking to the car and i got my baby with me

04:03we already heard a few gunshot rounds but i ain't think nothing of it yeah nobody in here no screaming

04:10so i'm getting to the car i hear five five five five five at least by seven rounds so i'm ducking

04:24car and i throw my baby in the back seat and we just sped off next thing you know a driver was driving

04:31past i couldn't identify the vehicle but lord i hope i hope they catch them lord well now knowing that

04:38that somebody was shot here and not only that but somebody was shot here earlier in the same

04:42complex uh earlier this month so two shootings in a month you know kind of take me through

04:46how you feel i know you said you had your baby so obviously you're a mother you know kind of take me

04:50through uh you know your feelings as a as a mother and somebody being here we you know and with two

04:56shootings in a month you know i'm a single mother so i'm doing this by myself and you know

05:00sometimes i don't feel safe i don't feel safe i'll be kind of paranoid out here sometimes i'll be

05:06scared but that's why i say you gotta mind your business and stay to yourself because me personally

05:13i don't get into it with nobody i don't do none of that because i mind my business stay to myself

05:17and that's my information and my not my um what's it called advice my advice to y'all yes

05:25advice stay to yourself mind your business if you stay in westgate village stay in your house

05:30that's all i gotta say she nailed it those are wise words yeah i gotta remember those moves i drive

05:58different stories to me too me too dude she's just got a natural confidence to her like she's not i

06:03wish i was that confident right not afraid of the camera at all bold no she's got a message to get
