00:00Hey, it's Lana, and we were talking about the 7-15 second date update between Christine and Kurt.
00:04I don't know if you missed this one, but it was a good one.
00:07I mean, first of all, their dogs got along, so you know this is going to be a great second date, right?
00:12Well, unfortunately, things took a little weird turn because, well, Christine was very friendly.
00:17She went above and beyond even getting dog treats.
00:21But a little too much for Kurt? I don't know.
00:23I thought it was kind of cute. I mean, if she really, really likes him, what's the big deal?
00:27But he was all freaked out about it. What do you think?
00:30Well, right now, we are trying to help out Christine this morning on the 7-15 second date update.
00:35Lana, I think this would be a perfect date for you. You would enjoy this.
00:37Well, the dogs got along. They actually went for a walk.
00:41But what I like, though, is they talked about going somewhere special, and one of the places she wanted to go would be Bern.
00:48So they talked about going on a second date.
00:50And he actually brought up Bern.
00:51Right, he did. But it was somewhere she wanted to go.
00:53So it was kind of like they were both thinking that. So I like that.
00:56But she has not heard anything from him since.
00:59Like, I guess she reached out in between what she thought was going to be a second date, hadn't heard anything.
01:03So we actually tracked down Kurt. We have him on hold right now.
01:06I want to see what's going on. He's very confused.
01:08Good morning, Kurt. You there?
01:11Yes.
01:11Hey, Kurt. We talked to you a little bit off air. I know Kevin did.
01:14And I appreciate you agreeing to come on with us.
01:16We just kind of wanted to ask you about a date you went on.
01:19Do you think maybe you know who we're talking about?
01:22Yeah. Just for the fact that a radio station is calling me, I'm going to guess it's about Christine.
01:30Yeah. You got that right.
01:32That's not good.
01:33Well, we just heard that you guys met on Bumble.
01:36And she was excited that she reached out to you.
01:38And you guys went on a little date on the Riverwalk.
01:40And you guys actually proposed going on another date to Bern's.
01:44And then she never heard anything from you since the date.
01:46And I guess that was your idea to go on another date.
01:48So what happened?
01:49You know, I don't want to be rude, but this chick was a stage five clinger.
01:56Oh, no.
01:57Oh, man.
01:58Oh, boy.
01:59That's never a good reference.
02:00Nope.
02:01She would deliver gifts to work, like cookies with a card that she sent.
02:08Well, that's very sweet.
02:09Wait, hold on.
02:10She brought cookies to your work?
02:12Did you see her?
02:13No.
02:14No, there was the note.
02:15And I did not see her.
02:16Um, she also left a gift basket for my dog at my house.
02:22Again, that is so nice and sweet.
02:24Wait, how does she know where you lived?
02:26Because she came for the date.
02:28Oh, you guys met at your house before the date?
02:30Yeah, we met at my house.
02:32I was like, wait a minute.
02:33Like, that could get real creepy there for a second.
02:34Okay, so she did know where you lived because you guys met there before the date.
02:38And I guess you just mentioned where you worked, so she researched where that location was and then dropped something off?
02:44She even called me at work with a surprise.
02:47You know, it was a lot quick.
02:49Like, she called you on your cell phone when you were at work?
02:52No, she called me at work.
02:53She left a voicemail at work for me that I got at work.
02:57On your work phone?
02:59I mean, this is all after one date.
03:01Who calls somebody's work number anymore?
03:03I don't know.
03:04I don't even know.
03:04How does she know your work number?
03:06I don't even know my work number.
03:07Yeah.
03:09So do you work in a place, like, where you can call, like, the front desk and they transfer you type of thing?
03:13Don't tell us where you work.
03:14Yeah.
03:15Yeah.
03:15Oh, wow.
03:17Christine calls.
03:18You can say, hey, I'm looking for Kurt.
03:19Can I have his desk?
03:20All of these things, harmless.
03:23These are harmless things that she did.
03:25But they're very cute.
03:27Hold on.
03:27Let me just, Kurt, give me one second.
03:28What?
03:30Lana, if some man showed up at this radio station that you did not know that you went on one date with and dropped things off, you would be cool with that?
03:37For you?
03:38Gifts?
03:38No.
03:39I mean, dog treats, maybe.
03:41All right.
03:43Well, listen, Kurt, just like Christine got a hold of you, she got a hold of us.
03:47That's how we have your number.
03:49I want to bring her back on.
03:50I understand how this could be a little overwhelming.
03:52I don't think she had any, you know, ill intent when it came to this.
03:56Christine.
03:57Hello.
03:58Yeah.
03:58I mean, did you do you feel like you came on maybe a little too quick?
04:00How do you see how this might be a little overwhelming?
04:03I was just trying to be nice.
04:06And you had mentioned that, you know, you like cookies.
04:09So I was like, I'll just show up with something.
04:10It's not about the cookies.
04:13I didn't give you permission to meet me at my house.
04:16You just dropped off stuff and called.
04:19It was all too, it was a lot.
04:20Yeah.
04:20Christine, did you go to his work?
04:23Yeah.
04:23I mean, I, well, I had it delivered.
04:26I didn't show up there.
04:28Hmm.
04:28Um, I just thought it would be nice to do.
04:31Did you not like them?
04:33It's not about them.
04:35They were great.
04:36So you did eat them.
04:37Okay.
04:38It did.
04:38Oh, no, we ate them.
04:39Yeah.
04:40Yeah.
04:40The entire staff ate them.
04:42Well, are people asking you at work about this or what?
04:45Yes, of course.
04:46People are asking me at work.
04:47But I mean, it's making, you know, it doesn't look good to just have someone randomly show
04:51up asking for you, calling for you at work.
04:53It's not that kind of place.
04:55Right.
04:55Well, it's not that kind of century.
04:57Oh, no.
04:58I'm sorry.
04:59Oh.
05:01Christine, can you see how this might be a little bit too much, too quick?
05:05I mean.
05:05I mean, I would appreciate it.
05:07And I was just taking initiative to be nice and let him know I heard what he was saying
05:12and make him happy with some cookies.
05:15And yeah, I don't know.
05:17I'm not crazy.
05:18It's a little, a little, it's a little too much, too fast.
05:23I don't think that this is absurd that I'm suggesting that.
05:25And yeah, I think if this was the other way around and this was, I was the woman and you
05:33were the man, it would be perceived very differently.
05:35Bingo.
05:36I think so, too.
05:37Well, she obviously likes you.
05:38Yeah.
05:39So what if you backed off a little bit, Kurt?
05:41And she now realizes that this is not something you dig and maybe she slowed it down a little
05:44bit.
05:44Would you be willing to maybe go on another date with her?
05:47I don't think so.
05:49She doesn't know where you work.
05:52Right.
05:53I might have to get a new job.
05:54No.
05:55No, no, no, no.
05:56So bring your dog treats.
05:58This is such a bummer for me.
06:00I mean, I was just trying to show you that I care.
06:04It was a lot.
06:05Okay.
06:06All right.
06:06Well, Kurt, I'll let you get back to work.
06:08Christine, I appreciate you reaching out to us.
06:09I'm sorry we couldn't make it happen.
06:10I do think you have a good heart.
06:12I just think maybe it was a little bit too much, too fast.
06:14So thank you guys.
06:15You guys have a great day.
06:17Man.
06:17Okay.
06:18Thanks.
06:20I feel bad for Christine just because I feel like she was very sweet and her heart was in
06:24the right place, but maybe it's a little much.
06:27What?
