00:00I'm good at it. I have my flaws. Let's open it by saying that. I do. I know that I have my flaws. I get it.

00:07I think you admit that I'm good at is hooking people up. Like, I'm a good matchmaker. Good wing person.

00:14You are a good wing person.

00:16And I won't make it awkward.

00:17You have a way. I don't know about not making it awkward, but you definitely have a way.

00:22Not awkward for me.

00:23With getting people to do what you want.

00:28What? You mean mind control?

00:31You're out of your mind. I can't get my wife to do anything for me.

00:33It's not manipulative. It's like...

00:36I make it fun.

00:38Yeah, like a what do you have to lose kind of attitude.

00:42Right. Fair enough.

00:42So this Saturday, we went out on a date night with two other couples.

00:46We went to downtown Waxhaw.

00:48And we went to this bar called Mary O'Neill's.

00:51It's a cool Irish pub just off Main Street there in downtown Waxhaw.

00:55And we went to the bar after dinner.

00:59So we were already feeling good.

01:01We were going to order an Uber.

01:03And when we were having a drink waiting for the Uber to show up, I sat down on a little bench next to a group of three women.

01:08Okay.

01:09And one of the women we recognized from the other restaurant.

01:12So we got talking to her.

01:13And then, you know me, when I sit next to a group, I'm like, I'm already done.

01:16Like, I already knew everything about the couples that we went to dinner with.

01:19Within moments.

01:19Because you know everything about the person that you're now talking to.

01:23I was like, I got to go to a new group now.

01:25Like, not that I'm bored.

01:26I just got everything I needed from my group.

01:27Now I'm going to talk to a new group and get new information.

01:29No, I'm not.

01:30I just, I'm curious.

01:31So I said to this one woman that was sitting next to me, how old are you?

01:3423.

01:34Where do you live?

01:35Right around the corner.

01:36And I go, what are you doing in downtown Waxhaw?

01:38Shouldn't you be in South End?

01:40You know, for people that are outside of the listening area, like out in the outer counties.

01:44South End is where we, where the radio station is located.

01:46And that's the party area of Charlotte.

01:48It used to be the uptown epicenter area.

01:50Now it's South End.

01:51But maybe she wants to meet somebody who lives around her.

01:54So she doesn't have to travel to South End anytime they go out on a date.

01:58That's cute.

01:59But you know what she said to me?

02:00I know, right?

02:03What am I doing here?

02:04She wanted to know.

02:05But she was with her friends.

02:06And then the one friend goes, the one guy came over who works at the bar at Mary O'Neal's.

02:13I think his name is Justin.

02:14I'm putting his stuff on blast, but I don't care.

02:16I got to make this happen.

02:17I'm sure he will appreciate this.

02:18There are two good looking people that need to be together.

02:20So Justin comes over and he goes, hey, last call for food.

02:23Anybody want food?

02:24And the girls are like, oh, he's cute, blah, blah, blah.

02:25And they go, yeah, but like last time we were here, he told me he was in a long term relationship.

02:29And I go, well, do we know that for sure?

02:31No, we don't know.

02:31I go, well, I'm going to find out.

02:33Of course you are.

02:34And we keep talking.

02:35And then like they came back over.

02:37They got up and met another couple.

02:38Then they came back over and they're like, there, there he is.

02:40So so they wanted me to go into action.

02:42So I see him and I go, hey, dude, what's your situation?

02:45How old are you?

02:46I think he said 26 or 28.

02:48I go, relationship?

02:50Nope.

02:50Single.

02:51I go, see her right over there.

02:52The beautiful young 23 single.

02:56And she's interested.

02:57With that, my wife comes into the bar and goes, babe, the Uber's here.

03:00We got to go.

03:01And I'm like, I'm at the height of connection.

03:03I'm right in the middle of something.

03:05Can you just ask him to hold on for like two minutes?

03:08I couldn't get two minutes.

03:09I had about 13 seconds.

03:11So I say to him, them right there, bang there.

03:15She's interested in you.

03:16And as I turn to leave, I turn to the group and I go, y'all, he's 26.

03:21I've hand sealed, delivered.

03:23He's 26.

03:24He's single.

03:25And he's aware of your interest.

03:28And I'm like, I got to go.

03:30Now you don't know whatever happened.

03:31We're leaving.

03:32And no, I need somebody from Mary O'Neill's to tell me or who was at the bar on Saturday

03:36night if this happened.

03:37I really need to know.

03:38You know, some people just call the establishment.

03:41Maney uses the radio to find out if people got together.

03:45I got to know.

03:46I don't have anybody's name.
