PCG welcomes BRP Gabriela Silang after port visit missions in Thailand, Vietnam

PCG Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gavan welcomed the officers and crew of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) vessel BRP Gabriela Silang (OPV-8301) upon its arrival at Pier 13, Manila, on Monday, April 21.   The vessel had just concluded its landmark Tri-Country Port Visit Mission, highlighted by a successful port call in Da Nang City, Vietnam, from April 14 to 17, 2025. Under the command of Captain Eleizer Ibarrientos, PCG, the BRP Gabriela Silang’s visit to Vietnam marked the final leg of a historic regional engagement that also included earlier port visits to Thailand and Malaysia.
