00:01Welcome to the UEFA Europa and Conference League Highlight Show.
00:05There was everything to play for on Thursday with prize places in European semi-finals up for grabs.
00:11Coming up, last week's Late Late Show by Lyon left Manchester United stunned
00:16and meant the team started all square at Old Trafford.
00:19Quota Glynn travelled to Lazio with a two-goal cushion,
00:22attempting to become the first Norwegian club to reach a major European semi-final.
00:27And in the conference, Fiorentina hosted Celia, bidding to reach a third consecutive final.
00:33All that plus highlights of every quarter-final on a nail-biting night across the continent.
00:41Now this was the state of play going into Thursday's Europa League action.
00:45Bodo Glynn in a healthy position.
00:48The ties at Athletic Club, Eintracht Frankfurt and Manchester United all finally poised,
00:53setting the scene for what looks certain to be an evening of twists and turns.
00:59We begin at Old Trafford, where Manchester United's season was on the line.
01:03The 2017 winners conceded an injury-time equaliser to Lyon's Ray and Cherki a week ago.
01:09That extended the French club's unbeaten run in Europe to eight matches,
01:13and set up what promised to be quite an occasion.
01:15Watching for us was Daniel Mann.
01:27Fernandes fed.
01:29Oh, and it's worked well by Garnaccio, and Ugarte with a chance!
01:33And just the lift that Manchester United needed!
01:39It's Manuel Ugarte who provides it!
01:45And it's no surprise that Bruno Fernandes had a big part to play in it.
01:48Masraoui feeding him.
01:49And the debate about whether he was on or off, he seemed to time it well.
01:57Garnaccio, with some really good work, pulled back into an inviting space.
02:01And Ugarte, although you'd never file him under natural goalscorer,
02:07with a very simple job indeed.
02:10Schierke, another dazzling run.
02:18It's brilliant work by Ryan Schierke!
02:20And Adana is there to deny him.
02:22Schierke once more.
02:24Well, that will make the Manchester United goalkeeper feel a whole lot better.
02:30A little showcase for the considerable gifts of Ryan Schierke.
02:36Fernandes off on the charge.
02:42And he's been found!
02:44Bruno Fernandes!
02:45Oh, that was almost one for the ages!
02:48Such a difficult ball to control over the shoulder effectively.
02:54To produce an effort of that quality was some achievement.
02:58It was almost the goal that will be talked about for decades.
03:02Ruben Amerindam's team in prime position.
03:08Thanks to a strong, aggressive start.
03:12A touch of Leon raggedness.
03:14More potential here.
03:16More than that!
03:18Diogo Dalho!
03:20And the prospect of salvation of something from this awful season for Manchester United.
03:32Is well and truly alive now.
03:36Dalho kept his composure.
03:39The one spot out of Perry's reach.
03:42And the semi-finals well within United to reach now.
03:56It's the head of Casemiro that meets it.
03:58Yekate back in there.
03:59And there's the goal from Tolisso.
04:01And suddenly the picture changes.
04:07Casemiro winning the first head.
04:08And Yekate back in.
04:09Lacazette gets a little flick.
04:11And Tolisso anticipated it.
04:15And he may not be around through suspension for the first leg of a semi-final.
04:20But he's at least given Leon some belief that they may yet get there.
04:25For Fahna.
04:32That's a good ball indeed!
04:34And Taliafico's there!
04:36Not a quarter away!
04:37But Lacazette has equalised!
04:42And the nightmare scenario has unfolded for United!
04:48Maitland-Niles back across the face.
04:50May have gone in anyway from Taliafico.
04:53Onana desperately trying to claw it out.
04:59Nicolas Taliafico, who won't have scored too many like that before.
05:03Is the scorer of the Leon equaliser.
05:13Tolisso, who's on a yellow card.
05:17Catching Leni Jorreau.
05:18And that's the end of his night.
05:32Fahna well found here.
05:34And possibilities open for Leon.
05:36Will it run for Scherke?
05:37Advantage play!
05:38Advantage taken!
05:39Emphatically!
05:40And United's season coming potentially to an inglorious end here at Old Trafford.
05:50Fahna doing so much to make it possible.
05:58And the ten of Leon lead at Old Trafford.
06:02Lacazette for Fahna.
06:03Well, that gap was too tight even for him, but he was fouled and it's a penalty!
06:17It is a penalty!
06:19For Fahna, those dancing feet always luring a challenge.
06:25And Luke Shaw did move in and surely caught Fahna.
06:32This is the tie.
06:33And Lacazette makes no mistake!
06:34A quite incredible comeback!
06:35And Lacazette makes no mistake!
06:39A quite incredible comeback!
06:53Shor's delivery!
06:56Touch of desperation!
07:00Casemiro has a chance!
07:01He goes down!
07:03Desperate appeals!
07:10The referee waiting for the opinion of others.
07:15He's going to have a look.
07:17Yes, it is!
07:22Yes, it is!
07:24There is another dramatic twist.
07:27And Manchester United are not finished yet.
07:32Perhaps Manchester United's broadest pair of shoulders.
07:39They live again!
07:42Manchester United still fighting to save their season.
07:46And Lucas Perry, in the goal, did absolutely everything he could.
07:52But such was the precision.
07:56There's no valve to release the pressure for Lyon.
08:02And the pressure keeps coming.
08:04Touch by Casemiro.
08:06Oh, it's really cool play!
08:08Amazing!
08:09Kobe Maynu!
08:11They haven't heard a sound like that here for a long, long time!
08:19The kind of drama that usually belongs in fiction has unfolded before our eyes.
08:25An extraordinary finish!
08:28And Manchester United remarkably have hauled themselves off the canvas.
08:33One of the great European nights here.
08:37Certainly one of the most extraordinary.
08:41Casemiro in there again!
08:42Maguire!
08:43Classic Manchester United!
08:44It isn't funky time anymore!
08:45But we've been here before!
08:46As dramatic a night of football as you could wish to see!
09:01Casemiro's ball in!
09:03And Harry Maguire is Manchester United's hero!
09:13You could throw a whole dictionary's worth of adjectives at this!
09:18And not even come close to summing it up!
09:21Ecstatic scenes at Old Trafford!
09:24Incredible!
09:26Manchester United 5, Lyon 4, 7-6 on aggregate!
09:35Despite having the better of things in North London, Spurs travel to Frankfurt with the scores level,
09:40so leaving a much-anticipated tie very much in the balance.
09:43Tottenham won this competition in 1972 and 84,
09:47but had never won a European tie after drawing the first leg at home.
09:51It's over to Bill Lesley.
09:56Tao.
09:59Now Madison.
10:07And Matthijs Tao rifles one towards the corner.
10:12Which draws the save at full stretch from Cal Santos.
10:15To Cal Santos.
10:22Valero slides it on.
10:23Santos has come out.
10:25Big collision there.
10:26Referees allowing player to go on.
10:28Solanke couldn't get it under his belt.
10:31But the injury, I think it's to Madison, indeed it is.
10:34Sufficient for the referee to bring the game to a halt.
10:37Madison was clattered into that.
10:41Oh, that's a nasty one.
10:43Alejandro de Paulo feels this is worth another look.
10:47And this is going to be a penalty to Tottenham Hotspur.
10:55The cheer you can hear comes from there.
10:573,000 travelling fans.
10:59The yellow card is out to show to the young Brazilian goalkeeper.
11:02So Solanke to give Tottenham Hotspur the lead in the tie.
11:14Scores.
11:16A show of character and a show of strength from a player who hasn't scored in his last eight games.
11:22He stepped up when Tottenham Hotspur needed him.
11:26A puff of the cheeks, a deep breath.
11:29And straight down the middle from Dominic Solanke.
11:32As Santos went early.
11:37Kuliszewski.
11:44And out of play.
11:45And the ball was out of play and a little spark has ignited things again.
11:49The cards again.
11:50The card is out.
11:53Brennan Johnson the recipient.
12:00A little bit of an edge to this contest now.
12:09And a red card.
12:11I think it's showing to a member of the Eintracht Frankfurt coaching staff by the look of things.
12:17And he takes it on and that was close.
12:27That is Shaibi.
12:29Giving Chiemu Vicario plenty to think about there.
12:38Oh, it gets it in. Keep a thought about coming.
12:39And Christian Romero so close to doubling Tottenham's lead on the night.
12:49And the home side will be throwing everything at Tottenham Hotspur now.
12:52We're approaching the finale.
12:53Quarter of an hour to go.
12:54So, Chanuzun, this has come to Christiansen.
12:57Across the face of goal.
12:58Vicario saves.
13:00Chanuzun.
13:02Eketike contesting.
13:04Tottenham can't get it out.
13:08Larsson, that's hit the referee.
13:10Play on.
13:12Teat will do that.
13:13Christiansen in space.
13:14Yes.
13:15Oh, so close.
13:18And doesn't he just know it?
13:20A little bit of fortune with the way it came to Christiansen there.
13:25I'm so pleased to see it go wide there, Vicario.
13:28It's hit by Knau, fouled by the Argentinian international Romero.
13:38Chanuzun, that could go anywhere.
13:41It's come to Christiansen, who's put it wide.
13:44The Danish right-back's had two big chances in front of goal in the last ten minutes.
13:49And he's failed to take either.
13:52Well, Tottenham Hotspur needed a night of nights.
13:54They needed to find their best when the pressure was on.
13:58And they've done just that.
14:00They've come to Frankfurt and won.
14:03And into the last four of the UEFA Europa League.
14:06They go.
14:10After the break, the pressure was on Lazio to make amends after losing their way in the Arctic Circle a week ago.
14:17We'll see you shortly.
14:18Welcome back.
14:19Pure drama at the Theatre of Dreams, where having led 2-0, Manchester United found themselves 4-2 down to ten-man Lyon in extra time, when Alexander Lacazette scored from the spot with 12 minutes remaining.
14:39remaining. Only for United to claw it back, Harry Maguire were the last-cast
14:43winner, 5-4 United on the night, 7-6 on Abbott.
14:49The fear in Rome was that Lazio's hitherto impressive form on the
14:53continent was dipping at just the wrong time. The Italians had won just one of
14:57their last four European matches, and last week's reverse in Norway left them
15:02in need of a big performance. Bodo were attempting to become their nation's
15:05first-ever European semi-finalists, after a run of five successive quarter-final
15:10defeats for Norwegian clubs. Here's Simon Brotherton.
15:20Gendouzi to the far side.
15:24Excellent ball. Pedro, good save, and on the follow-up, Zekanyi can't get hold of it.
15:31Starting to pose a real threat, though, Lazio, and again it's Pedro, a key part of it.
15:38Well taken by Bjorkan. Nicely done. Hauga with Lazio for company. The deflection didn't work out.
15:49The deflection didn't work out. Gunnarsson's way. Here comes Gustav Isakson. Brilliant play by Isakson.
15:54Lazio back in the tie. Didn't take them long. Tati Castellanos, 20 minutes in, and the tie has a different feel.
16:04Lazio lead on the night, and the deficit is halved in the tie. The deflection of Hauga felt kindly.
16:11Isakson certainly had plenty to do. The pass was inch-perfect to Castellanos in the middle,
16:19who managed to squeeze it home with an outrageous flick.
16:24Here's Pedro.
16:25It's a chase for Mario Hilo, sent it back to Klaasov, the top of the bar.
16:36So close to levelling the tie there, Zekanyi. And it stays at 1-0 on the night.
16:46Berg's delivery is good, and it's a superb save from Christos Mandas. An excellent free kick and a fine stop.
16:55Here come Bode Glimt on the counter. Jens Petter Hauga looks to tee it up, trying to find an opening. Support. Great chance.
17:06Oh, oh, what an important block that was. What a great chance for Bode Glimt to restore a two-goal lead,
17:14but such an important defensive interception here. Big moment in the game. Lazio's captain takes it,
17:22and it's pushed away by Haken, who makes the save. Bode Glimt survive another potentially awkward moment.
17:32Bode Glimt, perhaps with a chance to put the tie to bed here in added time.
17:37Bode Glimt. And it's a chance not taken. Helmussen.
17:46From point-blank range. That would have put it beyond reach.
17:50Nuno Tavares to take. Their European campaign hanging by a thread.
17:59And the header in. And the header is into the back of the net. It's forced in.
18:05Lazio save it. Deep in added time. A heartbreaking moment for the players of Bode Glimt.
18:15There's no offside there. And it was squeezed in at the far post and nozzling with the goal.
18:23Genduzzi.
18:26Good play, Matteo. Genduzzi! It's the third goal on the night.
18:31For Lazio. Boulardia.
18:34What a moment for the Senegalese international.
18:38Genduzzi created. Boulardia finished it off.
18:44Boulardia finished it off.
18:50Here's Hauger looking to try and create something.
18:55All hands on deck here for Lazio. The header from Helmussen is in.
18:59Oh, yes, they refuse to lie down.
19:03Andreas Helmussen, the substitute, draws them level in the tie.
19:09Great pressure. Fine finish. And Lazio are pegged back in the tie.
19:15Anxiety among the home fans.
19:25A lot of very tired players out there.
19:29And Helmussen gets a yellow card and a red card from the referee.
19:35Sent off for a second yellow card.
19:38This to win it.
19:39Patrick Bird.
19:44The captain of Birdaglipz.
19:48Oh, he skied it!
19:49What an extraordinary moment. It didn't even look close.
19:55Tati Castellanos who scored in the first half.
19:59To keep his team now.
20:00In this quarter-final. He has to score.
20:06And he hasn't scored.
20:08Tati Castellanos hasn't scored.
20:12And it is an historic moment.
20:14They are through and the celebrations will go on throughout the night.
20:19The Herculean rearguard effort at Ibrox was enough to ensure 10-man Rangers went to Bilbao,
20:27still in with the chance of upsetting the odds.
20:30They faced a very steep obstacle, though.
20:32Athletic Club had won all five of their European matches at the Estadio de San Mames in this campaign.
20:37But Rangers' victory at Fenerbahce in the last 16 suggested this was a challenge they could rise to.
20:43Mark Scott was in position to find out.
20:46Alvarez is Nico Williams.
20:50Wonderfully done by Nico Williams.
20:54And he wants it back here.
20:55Williams! Great stuff by Kelly!
20:59And off the line!
21:02Rangers survive for now.
21:05It's a real shooting gallery inside that Rangers penalty area.
21:12Williams latched onto it. Kelly came out quickly.
21:16And then that's excellent defensive work to block the follow-up effort.
21:22Berenguer's ball in.
21:24Flanagan under it.
21:26Well, that's wonderful control.
21:28Led himself down with the final strike, did Sunset.
21:31And that didn't miss by much.
21:35The clearance misplaced by Raskat, and it could have been costly here.
21:39Niko Williams pushed on here for Sanadie.
21:48Numbers are against him here.
21:50And Sanadie might still be able to make something of it.
21:53No!
21:55And Williams can't take the chance.
22:00Sanadie's strength and determination put it on a plate here for Nico Williams.
22:08And he will not believe that he's not given them the lead there.
22:11Berenguer, Di Marcos.
22:20That's a handy ball in.
22:21Sanadie's up there, surely!
22:22Oh, yeah, and Sunset can't take the chance.
22:29And not for the first time tonight.
22:32The home fans are staggered that they haven't seen their side take the lead.
22:36On by Sunset.
22:43Sanadie, was that a foul? It was!
22:47Penalty for Athletic Club, right at the end of the first half.
22:54Well, it looks as though the pressure may well have finally told.
22:59It will be Ojan Sanset to take the penalty this time around.
23:08Berenguer was blocked from the spot last week.
23:11Ojan Sanset scores!
23:15Unerring strike into the corner.
23:18And Athletic Club have their noses in front.
23:22No Kelly heroics from the spot this time around.
23:26Sanset scores.
23:27And Athletic Club have a 1-0 lead on the night and on aggregate.
23:39That's something fully dealt with.
23:40Suter back in.
23:41Desus with the acrobatics.
23:43Oh, off the post!
23:45Rangers so close to a leveler.
23:48Under the cosh.
23:49Pretty much from the word go.
23:52They nearly found a way back to parity in the tie.
23:55Desus went for the acrobatics.
23:58Rasca was on hand to follow up.
24:01And the Belgian off the keeper and off the post.
24:06Inches away.
24:07Williams, that'll do it!
24:17Athletic Club roaring into the semi-finals of the Europa League.
24:23And taking another step towards playing in this season's final here on home turf.
24:33Well, he's been the architect of so many attacks by speeding down that left-hand side.
24:39This time he ghosted it at the far post and made the most of the space he was afforded
24:45with a thumping header.
24:51So, Athletic Club's dream of playing the final in their own backyard lives on.
24:55A sweet success for Spurs and their under-pressure manager Ange Postokoglu.
24:58He will now turn his attention to Bodo Glint after their sensational shootout success at Lazio.
25:04A remarkable win for Manchester United to keep their season alive.
25:08The semi-final first legs take place on May 1st with Spurs at home to Bodo.
25:13Tottenham have won all four previous games against Norwegian opposition.
25:16United will travel to Bilbao with the second legs a week later.
25:23Still to come will be action from the Conference League,
25:25including Celia's bid to become the first-ever side from Slovenia to reach a European semi-final.
25:30Don't go away.
25:38Welcome back to the UEFA Europa and Conference League highlight show.
25:42Late twists and turns in Rome where Tiani Noslin's 93rd-minute goal for Lazio
25:47meant extra time and ultimately penalties with the Italians winning 3-1 on the night.
25:53Come the shootout, Patrick Berg blew his chance to win it for Bodo Glint.
25:57Only for Taddy Castellanos to then miss his spot kick and so make history for the visitors,
26:02who become the first Norwegian side to reach a major European semi-final.
26:063-3 on aggregate, 3-2 Bodo on penalties.
26:12This is how it stood in the Conference League following last week's first legs.
26:15Chelsea with a healthy three-goal advantage over Legia.
26:18Logan Delorio-Schobe's late goal for Celia gave the Slovenian champions some hope
26:23of causing an upset in Florence.
26:25Betis took a two-goal lead to Jagiellonia,
26:27while Rapid hoped home advantage would prove sufficient against Dschergaard.
26:32Fiorentina's hopes of reaching a third successive Conference League final remained on track
26:39after last week's win in Slovenia.
26:41La Viola were unbeaten in 12 European home games,
26:44while Slovenian clubs had lost all seven of their previous away matches on Italian soil.
26:50Commentary on this one comes from Dave Farrell.
26:52Danilo Cataldi now just dropping deep and wanting to pull the strings,
26:58as he does to great effect, the Lazio Loni.
27:05Now Mosek heading to the channel at pace.
27:07He got clear, but that's a good save by Ricciardo Silva.
27:13It's a good attempted finish too.
27:14It's the only finish really from that angle he can go for.
27:24Good darting run inside this.
27:26Excellent run and they haven't defended it, and De Gea is the last line of defence.
27:32Should have done better.
27:35Stetlin got into space, he of the great European goal-scoring record this season.
27:42Scored in both legs against Lugano and should have scored here.
27:48Hear the noise, the sound effects of this rain.
27:54Clever on the overlap from Gudmundsson and Mandragora can't believe he hasn't scored.
28:00The set-up is everything he could have wished for, and he had to generate the power,
28:05but he did, it was just the direction.
28:09There's Albert Gudmundsson.
28:17Simply through, it's all very simple and efficiently done
28:22by their man for the big European occasion, Rolando Mandragora got it again.
28:32A goal that takes them a step closer to the semi-final.
28:37Celia, finally undone.
28:40There was suddenly space, and on the right foot he holds his nerve.
28:45That's a clever ball threaded through, this is the moment!
28:52And they seized the moment!
28:55Aljosa Matko, and they're right back in it!
29:01Things suddenly got very interesting, they made it look simple,
29:06and it's no more than Celia deserved. Matko took it so well.
29:16They just need that one moment of quality, and there it is!
29:19Just astonishing! Celia lead here in the Artavio Frankie,
29:27and they are level in the tie.
29:30The delivery was absolute perfection.
29:34They showed what they could do against Lugano, but this is something else entirely.
29:42And when you think how dominant Fiorentina were in the first game,
29:46here's Mosek Enno, looking to shuffle through and find the finish!
29:55They are checking. I just wondered, it was very, very tight.
30:00Tiny margins, here it is.
30:01Well, if you were looking at the line on the pitch, he looked on there to me.
30:10And on review, you can hear the cheers, the goal stands!
30:18Mosek En does draw them level on the ninth,
30:22and moves them ahead, 4-3 on aggregate.
30:26What a finish from Mosek En!
30:27I guess, Parisi, if it's Gosens.
30:38Well, goalkeepers missed that, it drops kindly!
30:41And the captain, Luca Ranieri, scores in both legs, and surely scores the goal that takes Fiorentina to their 10th major European semi-final.
30:56A big second half scare, but now, a job done.
31:01But it won't count.
31:03After all that, as that free kick's played in, I think he's off.
31:07Offside, so the gap is still one.
31:14There's the offside, we can see it clearly.
31:15No foul, here goes Richardson.
31:24And he has it back again, and the ball towards Mosek En!
31:27In now to finish!
31:33Flag up!
31:35Just when he thought that was that.
31:39The flag went up, it was tight.
31:42Oh, it was really tight.
31:44He did so well to hold it as long as he did.
31:48Yep, offside confirmed.
31:50Check over.
31:50Oh, that's how close it was.
31:55It was a whisker.
32:00A narrow 1-0 win in Stockholm gave Rapid a very useful cushion at the Westardien on Thursday,
32:05a venue in which they'd yet to taste defeat during this season's competition.
32:09Girgarden's task looked tough, but they did overturn a one-goal deficit in the last 16 against Paphos.
32:16Ben Andrews is the commentator.
32:20Bound's totting up already.
32:28Sangare saying, that's my first one.
32:31Nino Zurgalia rolling around, and the yellow card is out for Mamadou Sangare.
32:38Yes, he's very late, isn't he, to the party there.
32:41The studs are showing.
32:43It's way above the ankle.
32:45He's going to go here, Sangare, surely.
32:48Yellow's going to get upgraded to red.
32:51Brought back in to help protect the lead.
32:54Sent off in six minutes.
32:57Rapid may have a goal advantage.
32:59Joe Gordon have an extra man.
33:03Gillickson.
33:10Tipped towards Horrell at the back post.
33:12It's a good lay-back.
33:13They're all screaming for hands in there.
33:14It may well get looked at.
33:20If you're jumping like that, is that an unnatural position?
33:23We could be having another big decision.
33:26This is a really difficult one.
33:28This is right in that grey area.
33:31What's his decision?
33:32It is a penalty for handball against Jonas Hauer.
33:48Huge moment.
33:48Right in the side netting.
33:54And the underdogs from Stockholm are level in the tie.
33:58And they've got an extra man.
34:00If they play it smart, every chance they can make that count.
34:04That's a good delivery.
34:14Svetkovic, the home hero.
34:17In first half stoppage time.
34:21Another twist in this quarter-final.
34:23Whatever next.
34:25Great delivery from Seidel.
34:29Svetkovic heading it on to Jakob Una.
34:33The Gill Gordon skipper.
34:38Probably go down as an own goal by him.
34:42Daniel Stetson, the Gill Gordon.
34:47The clock is not their friend.
34:49Oh, Kosugi!
34:51Unbelievable goal!
34:54The quarter-final is all level again.
34:58Keita Kosugi, the teenage left-back.
35:02That's unbelievable.
35:04On the bounce, with his wrong foot.
35:07Jurgården leading Vienna.
35:09It's 2-2 on aggregate.
35:17I think Gwen looks as sharp as he did in the first minute.
35:22Gullickson.
35:23Great goal!
35:24What a strike!
35:28The 11th lead the 10th in extra time in Vienna.
35:33It's just been incredible.
35:35And there's another incredible goal.
35:39They leveled the tie with one.
35:41Near the end of normal time.
35:43Now they're in front.
35:44It is a beauty from Tobias Gullickson.
35:48Clean and true and through the crowd.
35:50A chance here to finish it.
35:59And he has.
36:00An extra time double from Tobias Gullickson.
36:07And barring a V&E's miracle.
36:10Jurgården are heading for the semi-finals.
36:13History.
36:14For the club.
36:16History for Sweden.
36:18Friska did really well.
36:19And Gullickson just got there quicker.
36:22Even though he's been on the field for two hours.
36:24Bischoff, who he beat to the ball.
36:26A distant second best.
36:28And another brilliant finish.
36:36Royale came in hard there.
36:37What colour's the card here?
36:39What colour's the card?
36:41It's red.
36:44The big French defender.
36:48Has come through firmly on Tom Mac and Gwen.
36:50And he's got to go.
36:52And that absolutely wraps up what's turned into a miserable night for Rapid Vienna.
37:02Chelsea's bid to reach a 15th European semi-final continued in imperious fashion last week.
37:07Thanks to a commanding performance in Warsaw.
37:10Enzo Mareska's men were three goals to the good
37:13against the Legia side.
37:14Who somehow had to become the first Polish team to win a match in England.
37:17And score a handful of goals along the way.
37:19Time to join Gary Taphouse.
37:26Chelsea pressing high as they want to do.
37:29Lovely little flick from Jackson.
37:30And Sancho and Kunku.
37:32Good stop.
37:33Palmer's in there.
37:35Oh, so close.
37:38The goalkeeper's so relieved to dive on the ball.
37:41Well, his eyes lit up there, Palmer.
37:43The defence melted away, didn't it?
37:46The goalkeeper distinguished himself to deny Cole Palmer.
37:54Striding forward is Gonsalves.
37:57He might take it on here and he tried to get it through for Peckhardt.
38:01And it's a penalty, is it?
38:03Well, the challenge came in from Jorgensen on Peckhardt and the referee didn't hesitate.
38:08Yellow card for the Chelsea goalkeeper and a spot kick for the Polish side.
38:14Can the Laguerre captain get the Polish side on the scoreboard?
38:22Peckhardt.
38:24Oh, the goalkeeper got two hands to it.
38:27But it finds a way.
38:29It squirms into the net.
38:32Well, he won it.
38:34He took it and he just about scored it.
38:39And Laguerre have reduced the deficit to two.
38:44Luchinias.
38:47Good ball up to Morishita.
38:49Breaks kindly for the Japanese player, Morishita!
38:54Oh, so close to making it 2-0 to Leguia.
38:59Well, 20 minutes gone and Chelsea are being given an almighty scare here.
39:08Sanchuk.
39:09Oh, Kukurea.
39:14As simple as that.
39:17Chelsea's three-goal cushion is restored.
39:21Sancho finding Mark Kukurea and he had the simplest of tasks.
39:25To just side-foot the ball home.
39:29All it takes is one lapse in concentration.
39:32Well, that's been given away by James and the keeper's off his line!
39:46Well, relief around Stamford Bridge as Gonsalves puts it wide.
39:50Jorgensen was backtracking horribly.
39:56Gonsalves with the chip just wide.
40:07Palmer.
40:07Lovely looking ball, that.
40:10And Kukurea is there again!
40:13Set up by Nkunku.
40:16And the Spaniard has a brace.
40:19Oh, now Kukurea.
40:23Attacking that.
40:24He's looking like he's in an offside position.
40:30And offside is the verdict.
40:32It won't count.
40:34Kukurea in an offside position as Palmer played that ball.
40:38Oh, there's a lot going on there.
40:43There's a lot going on there.
40:46Outswinger from Vinagreb.
40:48And it's in from Kapuadi.
40:53Leguia are back in front.
40:57Kapuadi nodded in.
40:59He'd wriggled away from Rhys James.
41:02He's onside.
41:04And it's the simplest of tasks for the Frenchman to nod past Jorgensen.
41:12And Chelsea are undone from the set piece.
41:15And it's 2-1 Leguia.
41:23Malogusta.
41:26Oh, grateful.
41:27Madueke.
41:28And then cleared off the line to deny George.
41:35Well, it's Kapuadi who's in the right place to boot it away.
41:39Chelsea can't believe they haven't scored there.
41:442-1 to Leguia on the night.
41:47But it's Chelsea who progressed 4-2 on aggregate.
41:51Finally, to Pialystok, where Jagiellonia trailed Betis by two goals.
41:57These are halcyon days for the Pearlis champions,
42:00but progression to the last four of the conference
42:02would require a momentous effort against Manuel Pellegrini's side,
42:05who'd won their last three away matches on the continent.
42:09Martin Fischer saw this one.
42:13Betis looking comfortable.
42:14Desperate play amongst Jagiellonia's approach so far,
42:20but that's a great ball in.
42:22And what an opportunity back post.
42:25Imaz teases it across.
42:28And how on earth
42:29Christopher Norman Hansen didn't get a touch back post
42:32is anybody's guess.
42:34Look at that ball from Imaz.
42:36Glorious opportunity.
42:40Jean-Martinho on for Palloulou.
42:44Jean-Martinho.
42:46Here's Kubicki.
42:48For Loulou.
42:49Jean-Martinho.
42:53Decent ball in.
42:54Oh, it's a goal.
42:56Hansen with it.
42:58Right on the stroke of half-time.
43:02Jagiellonia, Belestock, strike first here.
43:06Now, Jean-Martinho looks offside as he receives the pass there.
43:10VAR will check, obviously.
43:13The cross was in from Kubicki.
43:15The header, firm and accurate from Norman Hansen.
43:19But will VAR intervene?
43:24I didn't think it would stand offside in the build-up.
43:29A huge blow to Simonyek and Jagiellonia.
43:32Yeah.
43:41Celso on for Aito Ruibal.
43:43It's the beat of Pekambu.
43:45Tucks it away superbly.
43:50Brilliant finish once again from Cedric Pekambu.
43:55And that settles this quarterfinal tie.
43:57There's no way back for Jagiellonia now.
44:00If ever there was an opportunity.
44:02The Kambu kills them off.
44:05Delicious finish.
44:08Got the first a week ago.
44:10Dot the first tonight.
44:11Here is Gabi Fatiga.
44:19Bartrae had to be careful.
44:20Chilinow with the shot.
44:21Chilinow with the goal.
44:22Perhaps it is not all over just yet.
44:26Ten to go.
44:28Something for the 20-odd thousand Polish fans to celebrate.
44:33Smiles on their faces, but surely it's come too late.
44:36Betis couldn't get it away.
44:39Chilinow was persistent.
44:42Drives it low beyond Franvietes.
44:47Isco.
44:49Into the feet of Cardoso.
44:51Mkambu is in again.
44:52Mkambu, this time denied by Abramovic.
44:56Out as far as Aito Ruibal.
44:58It goes down on the challenge of Jean Moutinho, and that's the penalty.
45:03Jean Moutinho had to go for it.
45:05The ball was loose momentarily.
45:08Just clipped Aito Ruibal.
45:09Here's the save by Abramovic.
45:12Denying Mkambu a second.
45:14And here's the penalty incident.
45:18Mkambu has been sent to the technical area to check the video screen.
45:25Does he just touch the ball first?
45:31Looks like he did.
45:33No penalty.
45:35Second time tonight that VAR has intervened.
45:41Betis were not to be denied.
45:43And for the first time in their 117-year history, Real Betis reached the last four of a European competition.
45:52So, Chelsea finally lose, but had already done enough.
45:57Fiorentina become the first club to reach three conference league semi-finals.
46:01They'll play Betis, who have never been this far in Europe before.
46:05Quite a night in Vienna, where Sjögaarden waltzed into the last four.
46:09Chelsea against Sjögaarden is the first ever semi-final between English and Swedish clubs.
46:14The first leg will be in Stockholm.
46:15Betis and Fiorentina meet for the first time the Spanish side with home advantage on May 1st.
46:21On May the 1st.
46:23The next day.
