00:00It's Mark and Melanie, Tampa Bay's morning crew.
00:02I bet Blake Shelton doesn't have to worry about any Uber Eats drama.
00:05I bet you he just, he's got a full-time staff of people that are delivering him food.
00:09Oh, I'm sure he's got a chef in God's country.
00:12He does have a chef in God's country.
00:14So we're talking about your Uber Eats or DoorDash stories.
00:18You know, stuff that maybe went a little sideways.
00:20Like I said, I've only done this once.
00:22And it was weird.
00:23It wasn't a bad experience.
00:24It was just awkward.
00:25I didn't really know how to handle it.
00:26But the one thing I'll say, too, that when the gentleman showed up with my food that I had ordered, he had someone else in the car.
00:34And I was like, I think he's double-dipping.
00:36I think that's his Uber ride.
00:37And then he picked up my Uber Eats thing halfway through.
00:40And he's like, hey, if you don't mind, I've got to swing by and pick up some tacos and enchiladas for this dude and his five kids.
00:46And then we're going to drop this off.
00:47And then I'll take you to wherever you're going.
00:49I just thought it was weird there was some shadowy figure in the back of the car.
00:53And my bags of food were there.
00:54Isn't that weird?
00:55No, there's always an extra person.
00:57Majority of the time, there's an extra person.
00:59Because they couldn't find a babysitter or a grandma needs to be with them.
01:03Seriously, most of the time, it's the person's driving.
01:06And then the passenger, the little ride-along person, is the one that hands me the food.
01:10That is fascinating.
01:11And we're getting people texting in saying, you're absolutely right, that there are, for some reason, there's always multiple people in a DoorDash or Uber Eats car.
01:19Always.
01:20I just wonder what's behind it.
01:22I mean, it's okay.
01:23Who's in that car?
01:23Next time I do it, I'm going to go out and be like, I just need to know your story.
01:29Thank you, sir.
01:30You can put the food down.
01:31Now on to you.
01:31I need to know.
01:32Now, what's your story?
01:33What did you not have going on today that you just decided you were going to ride along and deliver people's food?
01:39Are you getting a cut?
01:40No, no, no.
01:40I need to know.
01:40Yeah, that or I feel like I need to be like, blink twice if everything's okay.
01:45If not, I know what to do.
01:47Don't worry.
01:48My ring camera has his license plate.
01:51You will be saved.
01:52We're being recorded.
01:54Take out my salad if you want me to rescue you.
01:56I just unlocked the door.
01:59Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go.
02:02You laugh.
02:02That'll be some Netflix movie.
02:04I'd have to give him four stars, five, because he was a kid.
02:07You know, I would have given five, but I'm pretty sure he was kidnapping someone.
02:10He did have a hostage with someone that I thought was weird, so four and a half stars.
02:13But my order was correct.
02:14I've got to tell you, he showed up quick.
02:15And it was hot.
02:16This guy delivers.
02:18We have a text, Buck.
02:19I got a text.
02:19It says, I ordered from DoorDash a few weeks ago.
02:22Instead of delivering the food to my front door, they delivered it to the maintenance guy.
02:28What?
02:29I'd be like, what?
02:30Wait, wait.
02:31That's mine.
02:31Another person said, in Costa Rica, I used Uber Eats.
02:34They put stickers on the food to show it's been sealed.
02:37So you want to make sure.
02:38That's a good idea.
02:38That's a great idea.
02:40By the way, yeah.
02:41They should do that on all the boxes.
02:43What are you doing in Costa Rica doing Uber Eats, though?
02:45You're in Costa Rica, you ought to be sitting in a beach bar.
02:48You don't need to be, what are you, locked up in a condo in Costa Rica?
02:50Well, maybe that's where they got it delivered to.
02:52You don't know the story.
02:54If you're in Costa Rica, you don't even need to eat.
02:56Liquid diet.
02:57Yeah.
02:58You're just drinking boat drinks, man.
03:00What are you talking about down there with Uber Eats in Costa Rica?
03:03The liquid diet.
03:04You had to go all the way to Costa Rica to get on your Uber Eats app?
03:07That'd be ruined my vacation.
03:08That'd be terrible.
03:09So are you going to do it again?
03:11I'm going to do it again, but I'm going to film it and make a documentary out of it,
03:14out of my Uber Eats experience, and I'm going to interview the other person in the car.
03:18Oh, what if it's like a whole carload of people that have kids, grandma?
03:22I'll have a whole series done then.
03:23It'll be great.
03:24I love it.
03:25Keep the text coming, 800-992-1099, your Uber Eats DoorDash experiences.
