00:00Hey, it's the MJ and BJ show.
00:03There you go.
00:04We got a crotchety old man call coming up next.
00:08All right, so we have BJ on the phone.
00:10If you missed the last segment, we were just talking about this idiot that was just busted in Ocala.
00:16He rented a Jeep like Grand Cher, a Wrangler.
00:19He rented a Jeep Wrangler back in August at an Enterprise rent-a-car in Massachusetts and never brought it back.
00:27And they arrested him driving a stolen vehicle in Ocala this week.
00:34And, of course, Enterprise reported the car stolen.
00:37And then somehow this morphed into BJ from the old MJ and BJ days.
00:42BJ had, man, a series of classic rental car stories.
00:47So I got BJ on the phone live from Denver this morning.
00:50BJ, welcome to the MJ Morning Show.
00:54Yes, sir.
00:54Yes, sir.
00:55Good morning, guys.
00:56How are you doing, BJ?
00:58I'm getting ready to do a show out here, basically.
01:01I know.
01:01So, hey, I guess we can call this the MJ and BJ segment right now.
01:05Right now.
01:06Here we go.
01:07All right.
01:07So we were telling the story about you and a rental car.
01:10And this guy rented the car at Enterprise in August, never brought it back, was just busted in Ocala, driving the stolen car.
01:17And I said, Fester, BJ had a story where he rented a car, was running late for a plane, just parked the car somewhere.
01:25What was that story?
01:28I'd rented a car.
01:29I was in Los Angeles, California.
01:31I'd rented a car.
01:33And the car had gotten bashed up.
01:35I would hit one of those pillars down in one of the parking garage.
01:38When you also bashed, you damaged the rental car?
01:43Yeah.
01:43Took out the fender and a mirror.
01:45Yes.
01:46Yeah.
01:46There was an accident.
01:47Yeah.
01:48Yeah.
01:49So we started running late, had a buddy with me, and we were running late to the airport, LAX.
01:55And I didn't have time to park.
01:57I mean, in those days, you could just get out in 10 minutes, you're on an airplane, you know?
02:02Yep.
02:02And so I pull up to the front where the sky cab is, and basically I pitch him the keys and
02:09I said, dude, whatever you want to do with it.
02:11And the car went missing.
02:14Nobody could find the car.
02:16And it was like eight months later.
02:18It was in an impound lot, all beat up.
02:22It was an impound lot in Los Angeles.
02:25And the radio station in Los Angeles had to pay $6,000 to get it out.
02:30Oh, my God.
02:31Plus the damages to the...
02:32But I had another one, too.
02:33I had another one, too, that I rented when I went out there.
02:36I was in, again, Los Angeles.
02:37That's mainly where I went.
02:39And I would rent a car.
02:41But I came.
02:42I was headed to my hotel down on Sunset Boulevard.
02:45And I just whipped in there real fast.
02:49I don't know why I was in a hurry, but on my way, I go in the exit instead of the entrance
02:55to the parking garage.
02:56Oh, yeah.
02:56It pops all four tires.
02:58I've done the exact same thing.
03:00Yeah, blew all four tires.
03:01Yeah.
03:02Because they have all those parking lot spike strips out in Los Angeles.
03:05BJ, I did that same...
03:06Yeah, I went right through it.
03:07Yeah, you know what?
03:08I did it in Arizona, and I thought that people were shooting at me.
03:11And I just hid in my car until the guys came out and helped me.
03:15And you're like, what is wrong with this woman?
03:17It makes one hell of a noise, doesn't it?
03:20You thought someone was shooting at you?
03:22Yeah.
03:22I'd never traveled to Arizona before.
03:24I didn't know if it was a rough town.
03:25It's a really rough state, Arizona.
03:27Rough state.
03:27Yes.
03:28So, and then, BJ, the other...
03:31Remember, it was a company car.
03:32Do you remember the Saab that you had, the Saab 9-5?
03:36Oh, yeah.
03:36What happened to the Saab?
03:38Well, that one, I got sick one night and threw up inside the heater.
03:45Okay.
03:46Inside the vent, you know, on the dash, it went down in there and basically destroyed the car.
03:53Those are the worst throw-up instincts I've ever heard of.
03:56Hang on, we have actual audio of the incident.
04:01Now, BJ, you were driving the car, right?
04:05Yeah.
04:06Okay, so people, you have to picture this.
04:08BJ is driving the car and he had a projectile vomit.
04:11It has no place to go but the dashboard and the windshield.
04:16It gets caught right in the defrost vents.
04:18It went into the air conditioning vents, into the defroster vents.
04:22It didn't have, like, a middle glove compartment that you could have gone in there.
04:25No, it's a Saab.
04:26It's not an F-250.
04:27Every time you turn the air conditioner on, it blew, like, vomit smell in your face.
04:33Oh, you had to stop.
04:35You couldn't use the heater.
04:38The air conditioning wasn't as bad, but the heater, man, that was a problem.
04:45Oh, my.
04:46You and any other local or recent car incidents, BJ?
04:50Well, at one point, Enterprise wouldn't even rent me a car.
04:53You were on the list.
04:55I was on the band list before there was a band list.
04:58You part of the no-fly list.
05:00BJ was on the no-drive list.
05:02Right.
05:02Before I was in the thing.
05:04Yeah.
05:06Some adventures.
05:07All right, guys.
05:08All right, buddy.
05:08Have a great morning.
05:09Good talking to you.
05:10And hello, Tampa Bay.
05:11All right.
05:12Say, hey, it's the MJ and BJ show.
