Dave & Chuck the Freak talk about a woman who was scammed trying to cancel an account over the phone and end up placing a similar call of their own.

00:11thought she was communicating with someone from the popular music streaming service but she was

00:17not and now she's telling her story to fox 2 news take a listen in here to it was supposed to be an

00:22easy fix cancel an extra account associated with her digital music service spotify completely

00:28violated and devastated but it turned into anything but unable to find a customer service number for

00:34spotify last thursday alita vickers called her bank to cancel the account the huntington bank

00:40representative tried to help by giving her a spotify support number she found online alita says

00:45she called and would soon watch her money disappear she immediately hung up and called huntington bank

00:51who she says looked into it and eventually discovered the original bank representative who

00:56tried to help olita never verified the number and when we called it was clear the ambiguous

01:02helpline was just a front my name is tony i'm helping from what what am i calling we have what what am i

01:11calling where are you calling do you don't you know what number you're looking for nine hundred and

01:16twenty four dollars was taken out of this woman's account from a person on this phone number was that

01:25she called the phone number of spotify to cancel her account and the person on the phone accessed her

01:36bank and her computer phone music turned into another hang-up luckily while we were at their macomb

01:43home for the interview alita says huntington bank reimbursed her and is now investigating with

01:49police in the meantime she wanted to warn others i do want to call don't no come on no not worth it
