00:01Ready to feel and touch science?
00:04We are visiting the Luxembourg Science Centre in southern Luxembourg.
00:09This experienced museum, co-financed by the European Union,
00:13allows children and adults to learn about the mysteries of the universe while having fun.
00:19It features nearly 100 interactive exhibitions and amazing science shows and workshops.
00:25It's a high-voltage experience.
00:28Today, science is very abstract.
00:31A lot of people are, whether they are kids or grown-ups,
00:34a little bit afraid of science and reluctant to engage with science.
00:38And our idea is how can you interact with it, you know, by touching it, smelling it, hearing it,
00:44and get a totally different approach.
00:51Here, you might play foosball against a robot.
00:54Or feel static electricity in your skin.
00:58Come with your hand towards me.
01:04The 75,000 annual visitors are the stars at the museum.
01:08There are different levels, but it's all well designed so that both adults and children from all ages
01:14can learn and enjoy the interactive stations, which feature explanations in many languages.
01:19The workshops are also conducted in various languages.
01:23The scientific mediators, specialized in different disciplines, offer fun yet rigorous shows for all audiences,
01:29on complex topics of physics, chemistry, robotics, or mathematics, among others.
01:36The show was in chemistry.
01:39What's great is that it prepared us for our chemistry test for a long time.
01:44It's more fun.
01:45The course is more easily, thanks to the experience, especially because we have something to visualize the course.
01:49It will help us better understand the course.
01:52The Luxembourg Science Centre cost 1.5 million euros.
01:5740% was funded by the European Regional Development Fund, ERDF,
02:02and the remaining 60% was funded by the Luxembourg Ministry of Education.
02:08The museum expanded to go beyond the mysteries of Earth.
02:11One of its main attractions is the planetarium, financed by European funds,
02:16which allows us to travel and explore the universe, guided by a passionate expert.
02:21From exploring the cosmos to challenging a robot to a game of tic-tac-toe,
02:48science and technology are within everyone's reach at this interactive museum in the heart of Europe.
