00:31Cuban boxers starred in a professional boxing event held at the Veradero Beach Resort in the

00:36province of Matanzas. The event was co-organized by the German promoter Agan Sports and the Cuban

00:42Boxing Federation with the endorsement of the World Boxing Association. A greeting to the people of

00:49Telesur, of America who see me, just to represent one's country and to be on a stage with so many

00:55beautiful people supporting you, and with your family, one's mother here, is the greatest blessing

01:00that exists in the world. We thank the organization, the presidency of the country for having this

01:06vision, for giving us this possibility, and this opportunity. Because as everyone knows there was

01:15no professional boxing here before the triumph of the revolution. And now in 2025, we are given the

01:23opportunity, so we have to do it right. Now what is left is to train and continue reaping victories,

01:29and continue showing that the Cuban people and Cuban boxing are great at world level.

01:34Cuba won five of the six fights in the professional boxing lineup against fighters from the Dominican

01:39Republic, Argentina, Montenegro and Morocco, for continental and world titles of the World Boxing

01:47Association. Making the most of the time, the age, the opportunities that this also gives us,

01:56who know what this means for the people of Cuba, the family, the coaches and without forgetting the

02:03achievements and the doors that were open to us as amateurs to reach this moment. Professional

02:13boxing returned to the island after six decades. A historic day that brought joy to Cubans.
