00:03Yeah, it was a really good performance right from the kick-off.

00:07I thought that for long periods of games, we looked as if we were probably in top.

00:12We had one or two small periods just before half-time,

00:14but I thought in the main first half and probably second half as well,

00:17certainly we played better.

00:20What was your thought process going into the game?

00:22Because you seemed more assertive quite from the start, Everton, really.

00:26Yeah, I did. I was annoyed with our start against Arsenal last week.

00:30I dug the players out a bit about the mistakes

00:33and we sort of made a focus of trying to get better for that first period in the game.

00:36I thought we did. I thought we'd done a lot of good things.

00:41From that point of view, it was a good start for us.

00:46I thought we made it difficult for Forrest to get too much control in the game.

00:50James Garner and Poirier both came in, so they both had good first hours.

00:54They did, yeah. I thought they both done really well.

00:57I thought a lot of the players played really well today.

01:00I thought there were some top performers.

01:03I think, unless I'm seeing it wrong, I thought it was a deserved victory in the end.

01:08It was maybe a late goal, but I thought we'd done enough to warrant it.

01:15Yeah, good for Dukes because he does a lot of work for the team,

01:19which sometimes goes unnoticed.

01:20But I actually think that he's beginning to score a few goals.

01:31That game from Dwight O'Neill, when you're in the bottom half,

01:32where you've got to see a player that's had such a difficulty,

01:35Mark's nice to see him, has a big impact like John?

01:38Yeah, I mean, I was right behind a pass,

01:40and actually I think he didn't make it particularly good,

01:42but I think the centre-half got his feet mixed up,

01:45or he would have cleared it, actually.

01:46But nevertheless, I'm sure Dwight's taken an assist for it.

01:52And just how much did you enjoy celebrating with that away at the end?

01:55It was big for us because, you know, we've had,

01:58I think that's our third away win.

02:00You know, and I think that when you look at that at the moment,

02:02you say, hey, that's not too bad.

02:04But Nottingham Forest at the moment are sort of

02:06some of which we should all sort of look to.

02:08You know, if we could have a season like Nottingham Forest

02:10are having this year, next year,

02:13then I'd be hugely thrilled.

02:14And amongst the Champions League teams,

02:16semi-final of the Cup.

02:18So, look, they're doing unbelievably well,

02:21but I thought in the main, we deserved a victory today.

02:27you were questioning whether the Reifers were going back,

02:30but moments like this was...

02:32Yeah, I loved seeing the supporters here

02:35because we've got a huge fan base

02:38and for long periods they've probably not had much to shout about.

02:41And probably for 90 minutes,

02:43I think they probably were saying,

02:45hey, this is, we've played well today.

02:47But, you know, sometimes just to cap that off,

02:50you know, we might be coming in talking differently

02:51if it was a nil-nil draw.

02:52But I think the goal,

02:55once you see the goal,

02:56I think you probably say,

02:57yeah, it was well-deserved for Everton on the day.
