00:05entered into a bilateral agreement to strengthen labor cooperation. Under the bilateral labor
00:10agreement, both nations committed to ensuring safe, ethical, and regular pathways for the
00:16employment of Filipino workers in Malta. The two parties will also explore a government-to-government
00:21hiring arrangement for specific labor sectors, particularly in caregiving where demand countries
00:27continue to rise in Malta. According to the DMW, around 12,000 overseas Filipino workers are
00:33currently employed in Malta, with most of them working as caregivers, domestic workers, and in
00:39the service sector.
