00:32Asik, what is the theme of the Philippine Veterans Week?
00:37This year, the theme is the valiance of the veterans in the fight for the future of the Philippines.
00:47Let me explain for them.
00:49The veterans are those who fought in World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War,
00:58and the current veterans who continue to defend our country.
01:06The Foundation of the Veterans is a foundation for the development of our country,
01:13so that we will not be driven and become a developed country.
01:19That is why it serves as a foundation for the development of our country,
01:24and the hardships of our countrymen.
01:29Their contribution is a source of strength for our country.
01:37As for the new Philippines, this is what we always look forward to,
01:43so that our future will be better.
01:48Asik, what activities have we prepared for the veterans in this event?
01:55This Veterans Week started on Saturday, April 5.
02:00There was a sunrise ceremony and a replay in the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.
02:09After that, the Philippine Armed Forces gave a parade to the veterans
02:17to pay their respects and honor them.
02:22Tomorrow is the most important event.
02:29Our President, Colonel R. Marcos Jr.,
02:46along with Secretary Gilberto C. Todoro Jr.,
02:51the ambassadors of the United States, Japan, and General Browne,
02:58will give a speech and a brief naming with other government officials.
03:06As for April 10, we have a joint tribute to the Filipino heroes
03:12and to the Filipino heroes and to the Filipino heroes and to the Filipino heroes

05:18As of now, what are the benefits that the Filipino veterans receive from our government?
05:27We have what we call pension and non-pension benefits.
05:37We give 20,000 monthly to post-war veterans,
05:43veterans of World War II,
05:47and 5,000 monthly to post-war veterans of the world.
05:57They also have disability pension, depending on the disability they received.
06:06This can reach up to 10,000.
06:09Aside from the pension, we also have what we call non-pension benefits.
06:14These include hospitalization and medical care programs.
06:19We also have educational benefits that depend on our veterans.
06:33Asek, what is your message to the Filipino veterans of today?
06:41Our message is to continue respecting and loving our veterans.
06:50To our veterans, on this last day in our country,
06:59we show that their sacrifice to their country, to their countrymen,
07:06and to their beloved country,
07:09that they fought for our freedom,
07:13and we want to cherish it until the next generation.
