00:00Football wasn't the only sporting activity drawing attention in Tobago.
00:04The drive to discover future rugby stars on the island was the objective as the Tobago
00:08Rugby Football Club hosted a developmental meet at the Signal Hills Secondary School
00:13ground.
00:14The meet is also geared towards helping prepare players for the upcoming Fatima Sevens and
00:19the Shekonia Sevens.
00:20Referee calls back, seems that was a knock on.
00:25The reason why this meet would have been put together is because as we overlap with schools
00:32and clubs, there's one rugby club in Tobago, the club now is actively trying to get everybody
00:37on one page as rugby is concerned.
00:40And because persons are training in different locations on different days, the development
00:43meet was put together so we can see everybody on one field to have a sense of where persons
00:48are in the sport and what we need to work on to ensure that we produce more national
00:52athletes for the clubs and more great playing teams to partake in Trinidad and so on for
00:59the rugby league.
