00:00Let's talk about Nick Kurtz of the Las Vegas Athletics or

00:04Sacramento Athletics or whatever the heck they are.

00:06They're the they're just athletic.

00:07They're just wildly athletic.

00:09This guy got off to a fantastic start so far in AAA.

00:14I mean just off the charts now it is PCL.

00:17So PCL stats you always take with a little bit of grain of

00:19salt, but this kid came out of Wake Forest.

00:22He was 2024 draft.

00:25He was the fourth overall pick there.

00:26He was absolutely tremendous at Wake Forest and now

00:30off to a start, seven games, three homers, 11 RBI, hitting

00:33433 with a 1336 OPS.

00:36Nick Kurtz has got to find somewhere, some room at the

00:39end at some point because this kid is mashing.

00:42So what happens?

00:44How do we make room for Nick Kurtz?

00:45That becomes the big question because you've got some, well,

00:48it's a problem.

00:48It's either somebody has to get hurt or somebody's losing

00:50their job.

00:50Now Brent Rooker is not moving from DH, right?

00:52He's going to stick around there.

00:53So he ain't going anywhere.

00:55SodaStorm at first base is playing pretty well.

00:57So that is a bit of a logjam too.

00:59So it's kind of a difficult calculus right now because

01:03Butler is locked in, Bladet is locked in, and DeHart would

01:07be the guy to bounce out.

01:08Now, the question is, do you see a SodaStorm start to work

01:11in the outfield or a Kurtz start to work in the outfield

01:13just to get some reps in left field to get his bat in there?

01:16Does Rooker move and play more outfield this year?

01:19I don't know.

01:20But what I do know is that Nick Kurtz is going to jump

01:24to the big league sooner than later.

01:25So now's the perfect time to just throw a buck or two on

01:28him over the weekend, stash him, and then hopefully at

01:31some point in the next six weeks, that stash is rewarded.

01:35And it's not for your 10-team shadow league.

01:38This is for your 12 and above, and this is for the spots

01:41where you have enough bench because Nick Kurtz right now

01:44is just playing off the charts, and I think it's only a

01:47matter of time before he ends up with the athletics.
