00:07workers who are believed to have been directly involved in excavation work to install sewage
00:12pipes near the site of the Putra Heights gas pipeline explosion.
00:17Selangor Police Chief Hussein Omar Khan said there is no need to reveal the names of the
00:21contractors allegedly involved in the explosion, adding that the police's investigation into
00:27the blaze has not been classified as a criminal case.
00:30Hussein said while the police found that the distance between the sewage pipe and the gas
00:34pipeline was 1.6 meters, the sewage pipe did not show any signs of obvious disturbance
00:39that could jeopardize the gas pipeline.
00:42Hussein also said 25 homes were completely destroyed by the blaze following the explosion
00:47last Tuesday.
00:49He added that 219 of the 439 homes evaluated in the blast's radius were found to have
00:55been damaged, of which 87 homes experienced damage exceeding 20%.
01:00Hussein said homes with less than 20% damage are allowed to be repaired by the residents
01:05or property owners starting today.
