00:00So let's talk toilet before it's too late.
00:09Hi, this is Bhavna and you're watching The Tunnels.
00:12We have with us the founder and CEO of BULU, Mr. Manish.
00:16Who will talk to us and tell us about BULU.
00:20And it's going to be very interesting.
00:22What is BULU? How does it work?
00:24And why did I say let's talk toilet before it's too late?
00:30So hi sir, welcome to The Tunnels.
00:32Hi, thanks for having me here.
00:34Sir, please tell us a little about BULU.
00:36What is it? How does it work?
00:40I am a retail analyst.
00:41And in the last 25 years, I have worked in Walmart, USA and Shopper's Club.
00:46The women of our house take major decisions.
00:51But we don't provide a small thing for them, which is the toilet.
00:57They don't drink water when they go out of the house.
01:00They don't use the toilet.
01:01And they face a lot of problems.
01:03They get UTI infection.
01:04The women of my house, especially my wife and my daughter,
01:09who want to leave India and not come back because the toilet is not available.
01:14A basic necessity.
01:16That's where it started.
01:17So I thought hygiene dignity for a woman should be my mission.
01:22And we came to know that only Modi ji had talked about toilets since 2014.
01:27After that, no one talks about it.
01:29It's a taboo to talk about toilets in public.
01:31We can't even talk about toilets.
01:33That's why we call it a powder room now.
01:35So if these things are brought to a main field, a corporate environment,
01:39an investment environment,
01:41that's why I always say let's talk toilet.
01:43It's too late now.
01:44How long will we praise only Japan?
01:47I want to make India the world's toilet capital.
01:52Okay.
01:53It says New India's Smart Washroom.
01:56How is it smart, sir?
01:58Look, there are a lot of toilets in our country.
02:02Infrastructure.
02:03And there are a lot of resources to clean it.
02:06But a technology tool was missing.
02:11To monitor and manage the toilet remotely and also monetize it.
02:17So we developed IoT-based, AI-based and SaaS-based technology.
02:23Which can give a monitoring tool to the toilet owners.
02:29And there is no human intervention in it.
02:33Normally, there is still a sanitation worker who cleans the toilet.
02:38There are multiple supervisors on him.
02:40So he doesn't get social dignity.
02:43And they take 60% of his salary.
02:46To change this unit economics, we developed this technology.
02:50And we did that technology in our toilet before putting it in any other toilet.
02:56That's why this powder room is smart.
02:58The number of people using it.
03:00How many times has it been cleaned?
03:02Who cleaned it?
03:03What quality of cleaning was it?
03:04What was the air quality?
03:05And in which pattern are people coming?
03:07All this data is stored in the toilet.
03:10And we get to know in the backend.
03:12And that's why we get it.
03:14By combining all this data, we make a civil score.
03:17That becomes its hygiene score.
03:19In this way, these toilets are digitally smartly managed.
03:23So how many places have you installed these smart washrooms so far?
03:27And where is the presence?
03:29We have partnered with government institutions.
03:33Municipal corporations, railways, National Highway Corporation, Indian Oil.
03:38And Abhiyawar Tourism and multiple other government departments, PWD.
03:41All of them are coming forward.
03:44Because this is the only smartest solution we have created.
03:48Along with them, we have executed 50 projects across India.
03:54300 projects are in the pipeline.
03:56In the next 5 years, I want to execute 10,000 projects.
