Ford Launches 'From America, For America' Discount Program As Tariffs Threaten Vehicle Price Surge

Ford Motor Co. announced it will extend employee pricing to all car shoppers as part of its "From America, For America" promotion, according to CBS News. The offer includes 2024-2025 Ford and Lincoln models, excluding specific high-end models. Ford's move comes amid the implementation of new 25% U.S. tariffs on imported vehicles and parts. Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives called the auto industry's response to the tariffs a "tariff torpedo" and predicted price hikes of up to $10,000 for typical vehicles. Ford saw a 5% rise in first-quarter sales, as consumers rushed to purchase vehicles ahead of expected price increases.
