00:08President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. assured the local governments

00:13the establishment of Child Development Centers or CDC,

00:16especially in poor areas.

00:19The joint circular of DBM and TEPED was just completed

00:23in which the early childhood education in barangays was far-fetched.

00:27At present, 328 low-income barangays are funded by the National Government

00:32for the facilities to be built.

00:3488 of these will be built in Luzon, 106 in Visayas, and 133 in Mindanao.

00:43Our local government units will now shoulder additional costs

00:46as part of their counterpart obligation to complete the project.

00:50Through our support to the local governments,

00:54who have limited resources to build their own CDC,

00:59we can improve the education of our poor countrymen.

01:04These CDCs are venues for the implementation of early childhood care

01:09and development center programs and services,

01:12especially the Early Learning Programs and Family Support Program.

01:17Through these centers, our youth will be able to play, read, and study.

01:27DEPED and DICT will continue to assist the private sector

01:31to promote digital learning in the country.

01:34In cooperation with the Republic Asia and iAcademy,

01:38Pay It Forward, a digital transformation advocacy, was launched.

01:44The Republic Asia CEO, Branner Lua,

01:47gave the importance of access to innovative technology

01:50in the distribution of quality education to various communities.

01:54As part of their commitment,

01:56the company provided 100 tablets and 3 star-length devices

02:00to 3 public schools in Cebu.

02:04Meanwhile, iAcademy President, Raquel Wong,

02:08initiated training for teachers.
