00:00The country's infrastructure spending increased by more than 1.5 trillion pesos in 2024.

00:06It's higher by 8.9 percent compared to what was predicted in 2023.

00:11According to the latest data from the Department of Budget and Management,

00:14it's equivalent to 5.8 percent gross domestic product.

00:19The 2024 infrastructure spending also entered the government's target of 5 to 6 percent

00:25under the medium-term fiscal framework.

00:28The DBM said that the construction activities of the DPWH will be implemented more quickly

00:37and that the DOTR Railroad Projects will be paid directly

00:41with the help of our friends in the country.

00:43Due to the high infrastructure spending,

00:46the GDP is expected to reach 5.4 percent in the next year.
