00:00When are people going to feel better off, Martin?

00:04I think there's a long time till we go back to where we were.

00:07There are two reasons for that.

00:09While, hopefully, real incomes will continue to increase

00:13and there will be some catch up, mentally, it

00:16takes us a long time to adjust.

00:19When you go into the supermarket and you

00:20buy something that used to cost a pound

00:23and it now costs two pounds, which happens,

00:25I mean, that's well above average rate of inflation,

00:27but it happens on some items, that you

00:29feel aggrieved and you feel angry

00:32and you don't like the situation.

00:34When your bills are constantly going up

00:36and you're paying nearly double what you feel

00:38is right for your energy bills, it

00:41does feel like the fiscal walls are closing in on people.

00:45I still think we are quite away from people feeling better.
