00:17I mean, in the NFL, it's very hard to play your entire career all in one year, you know,

00:22new regime came in.

00:23They had a path that they wanted to follow, but I wasn't a part of that.

00:26So, I mean, I got to give them a lot of credit for doing me a favor, or at least when they

00:29did, but you know, things just didn't work out for whatever reason, but super excited,

00:35super, super excited to be part of those new team and reunited coach O'Connell and yeah.

00:41I think that's pretty fair, man.

00:43Like nothing wrong with that.

00:45He's not upset that they did things the right way by letting them go.

00:49Um, it's the business of football, man.

01:04I think he's a real deal.

01:05Um, I know what we see on Sundays, all the things that he does, but what you don't see

01:08is the work he puts in.

01:09First one in the building, last one on the draw, the cliche thing that you always want

01:13your quarterback to do.

01:14And on top of that, man, he just got ice in his veins, man.

01:17It's just unfazed.

01:18Yeah.

01:19His mentality really reminds me of Jalen Hurst a little bit.

01:23I think we all look at Jalen Hurst.

01:24So it doesn't show a lot of emotion, good, bad, or indifferent.

01:27I see a lot of similar things in Jaden Daniels.

01:32I think John's just telling the truth, right?

01:37I mean, the thing about it, a lot of time when you hear a guy talking, once he leaves

01:43the team, you expect other stuff.

01:45But John hasn't been that guy before.

01:47And he only started in Vietnam.

01:49You know what was funny?

01:50We talked about this yesterday, that some of the folks we've heard from Houston have

01:54said Tunsil's not the best leader.

01:56And I think somewhere along the way in the NFL, the guys that kind of get paid the most

02:03are assumed to be leaders.

02:05And you're not paid for leadership.

02:07You're paid to play well.

02:08Yeah.

02:09And I think leadership is a natural thing.

02:13Dan Quinn had a great line about Wagner today.

02:15And he's like, listen, I love that Bobby's a leader.

02:18That's great.

02:19But the first part of it is that he's a really good football player.

02:23Everything else becomes kind of secondary or tertiary to, do you make plays on the field?

02:30And I think John, because of the power of the marketing department under previous regimes,

02:38I think John sometimes was a victim of, oh, he's a local guy with a military story.

02:45We got to get John out there.

02:47You know what I mean?

02:48They took advantage of that type of stuff.

02:51And these guys didn't.

02:54He wasn't forced to be captain and all that stuff.

02:58Not forced to be captain, but Dan Quinn doesn't even do the season-long captains

03:04because he's not doing anything for clicks or human interest stories.

03:17And I think just so much of that happened previously.

03:21A lot of it.

03:22I mean, and the thing, it was always them putting the pressure elsewhere,

03:27but they were the ones doing all the crap to have the pressure always on the good players any damn way.
