It's hard to be shocked by anything Kanye West says these days ... but he still made some jaw-dropping statements about his ex Kim Kardashian during his recent interview with DJ Akademiks.

00:00We're going to start with Kanye West pushing Kim Kardashian

00:04closer and closer to the edge in this battle over their kids.

00:08Because of something he said in an interview

00:10he did over the weekend.

00:11He went, did an interview with DJ Akademiks,

00:15dressed like this.

00:17Although he started when he first showed up,

00:22he did not have on the black KKK outfit.

00:26So it's the opposite of Bianca's story.

00:28He's fully covered.

00:29Yes, completely covered, wearing that outfit,

00:33and saying something about the kids, the four children

00:37that he has with Kim Kardashian.

00:39And the reason I say this is pushing Kim, she has tried.

00:43She has tried not to go into court

00:46and to fight to get full custody.

00:49Because she wants, has made this very clear,

00:51she wants her kids to have a relationship with their father.

00:54She's not trying to stand in the way of that.

00:56But when he says things like this, at some point,

01:00she has to be thinking, I don't know

01:04if this is good for our kids to be around this.

01:07And the guy in the black KKK hood, yeah, maybe not.

01:10In that hood, and saying things like this about his kids.

01:13With the situation with the kids,

01:14I hear you speak about that a lot.

01:16Nobody really spoke on your behalf.

01:17But even when you speak about Kim, people might be like,

01:19well, you picked her.

01:21Like, you put yourself in that.

01:23Absolutely, I did.

01:24That was my fault.

01:25Maybe they're saying that you don't take accountability.

01:27No, that was my fault.

01:29I didn't want to have children with this person

01:33after the first two months of being with her.

01:36But that wasn't God's plan.

01:38I did not want to have kids with this person.

01:42It is, that's just, I mean, obviously, he intended it,

01:46I think, as a jab at Kim, which it is.

01:48But his kids, especially North, is at an age.

01:51It's his kid's mother.

01:54she's definitely gonna know this stuff.

01:56We get to a point where we don't think

01:57that Kanye West can shock us anymore,

01:59and then he says something that is so shocking, so alarming.

02:05say whatever you want, I guess, his ex-wife.

02:07It's horrible, but he says it.

02:09To say things that will redound against the kids

02:12is just unforgivable.

02:13I mean, we've been through this so many times.

02:15We say it all the time,

02:15wearing the Nazi shirt is unforgivable.

02:17The Klanhood itself, right?

02:19The fact we're sort of glossing over that

02:20to a bigger point about the insult

02:22he had towards his wife,

02:23and we're not even talking about the fact

02:25the guy's wearing a Klanhood.

02:26It's just, we're just beyond,

02:29we're through the looking glass now.

02:30I don't even know where to go with this anymore.

02:31Yeah, and the thing about the kids,

02:35at some point here, and not,

02:37for the younger ones, it's at some point.

02:39For North, it's right now, right?

02:41That you're, even if she doesn't see it,

02:43even if somehow Kim is able to keep that away from her,

02:49the kids that she, her friends at school,

02:51they're gonna know about it.

02:52They're gonna see it.

02:54And it's just, it puts them in,

02:55puts the kids in a horrible situation,

02:57puts Kim in a horrible situation.

03:00And at some point, you just go like, ah.

03:03And at some point, is there also a discussion

03:05about should he not be put on camera?

03:08Should they not be doing an interview with him?

03:12Should we not be giving him attention?

03:14Having sat in this very, very position

03:17that we're in right here,

03:19where you start to do an interview with Kanye,

03:21and things seem normal,

03:23and then suddenly there's a comment made

03:26where you go like, okay, this isn't,

03:28I don't blame AK for that.

03:29I mean, he showed up and hoped to get a good interview.

03:32But when he says things like that, I get your point.

03:36He also said something about, unbelievably,

03:40defending this tweet that he did a couple weeks ago

03:43about Jay-Z and Beyonce's kids.

03:45I'm not gonna repeat what he said.

03:46It was absolutely awful.

03:48He deleted it, and then doubled down on it

03:51in a later tweet.

03:53This is what he had to say about this,

03:55how he's defending this, I don't know.

03:57The Jay-Z tweet, Jay-Z's kids tweet,

04:00makes the, that even seem so bad.

04:05Every week, it's like.

04:06Yeah, yeah, yeah.

04:07I feel like that was probably the worst tweet you've said.

04:11Or the best.

04:13Or the strongest.

04:16Yeah.

04:18What do you say to that when he says,

04:19or it's the best or the strongest thing I've ever said?

04:22Yeah, it's, this is a tough position, like I said.

04:26More than, there's the outrageousness of what he's saying.

04:30But some of that, you could look at it and say,

04:31look, he's obviously dealing with mental health issues,

04:35and that may be part of that.

04:36But either way, for Kim Kardashian,

04:38the bottom line is, he is out there saying these things

04:41that can be damaging to your children.

04:43So how do you react?

04:44How are they not damaging to your children?

04:47Yeah.

04:47I mean, how would, I mean, are you just,

04:51you feel for them?

04:52I mean, it just feels like a therapist bill.

04:54I was gonna say, there's a lot of therapy coming.

05:05from my perspective, the initial comments,

05:09if he was trying to hold himself accountable,

05:12then making harsh statements against his children

05:15is kind of contradicting.

05:17And also, two of the worst case scenarios can happen.

05:20They can stumble across the interview

05:23and then change their perspective on their dad,

05:26or Kim can have a hard time trying to hide it

05:30from her kids, which is unfortunate.

05:33Yeah, have a hard time hiding it,

05:34and then also have a hard time explaining it

05:36at some point when they do see it.

05:39It'd be tough enough if you're in a troubled relationship

05:42having this stuff happen privately,

05:44but having it publicly out there forever,

05:47this never goes away,

05:48this clip will be on the internet forever,

05:50it's really tough for those kids.
