00:31Earlier, Superintendent Zai Ham identified the victims as 29-year-old Wong Heen Yip,
00:38the driver of the Honda Accord, along with his sister, 34-year-old Wong Hui Moon, and
00:44their mother, 61-year-old Lee Lai Cheng.
00:47Three other passengers in the Honda, a 33-year-old local man, a five-year-old boy, and a three-year-old
00:54girl, sustained injuries and were taken to Bentong Hospital for treatment.
00:59The 29-year-old lorry driver was also injured, while the driver and passengers of the other
01:04vehicles escaped unharmed.
01:07Initial investigations revealed that the crash occurred when a three-ton lorry travelling
01:12from Kuantan to Kuala Lumpur skidded, struck the road divider, and veered into the opposite
01:18lane, colliding with four other vehicles.
01:22The case is being investigated under Section 41, Subsection 1 of the Road Transport Act,
01:281987.
01:29Superintendent Zai Ham urged any witnesses to come forward to assist in the investigation.
